It's $29.99 for prime members and $32.49 for non-prime members, but either way it's a good deal.

If you are close to a BJ's, this former Front Page (Kidde Multipurpose ABC Fire Extinguishers- 2 pk [bjs.com]) for $20 is now on sale for $18.99... looks the same as Woot.

And if not, then Walmart has the same OP Woot 'deal' for $24.42 [walmart.com]

Woot is not often that great.

fyi - Both of the ones I received from the last Woot deal had broken wall mounts. Others complained of the same in that deal.

Look for metal handle

It says it is a steel handle in one of the pictures.

It's weird these are as expensive as they are. Fire extinguishers shouldn't be more than $5 because it's in everyone's interest that unwanted/unexpected fires be put out as soon as possible. We have homeless people in my town with out of control fires fairly regularly. The last video I saw showed someone trying to put the fire out by hitting it with a cooler. It just seems to me like this is something the government actually should subsidize.

We should probably subsidize bandaids as well.

I mean, do you equate the ability to put out a dangerous fire with being able to cover your boo-boos?

While I absolutely recommend any extinguisher over no extinguisher, I'd really recommend stepping up to the 5lb size. When you need a fire extinguisher, you're going to be elated that it sprays longer than a few seconds. The 5lb size usually sprays a few feet further too. Takes up negligible more space, costs a few bucks more, worth every cent when you need it.

I bought these and needed to put out a fire and they saved my home. No complaints.

Funny. Its amazing how many people think the government is the answer to everything and free stuff /subsidized for all. Maybe home security systems, bug spray, and sunscreen for all too!

This is a good point. If you want to have several throughout, I guess the smaller size may be beneficial.

Small size is only for trained people. Get a larger size with more spray time. Costco has large ones on sale for $25-$30 all the time
