I had this in my cart but decided to pass. At just .28 oz. per k-cup, these are probably the lightest k-cups I've ever seen. I fear the coffee would taste too weak for my liking. I like strong coffee and I've found that any k-cup weighing .40 oz. or above will usually work for me. Green Mountain's "Dark Magic" for example weighs .40 oz. and it's great. Or Peet's "Major Dickason's" weighing in at .47 oz. will definitely do the trick. I've never tried this Folger's, but the less coffee a k-cup contains (as determined by weight), the weaker the coffee tends to taste (and appear). I have tried Keurig's Gevalia Colombia Medium Roast K-Cups weighing .29 oz. per k-cup and that was the weakest tasting k-cup I've ever purchased (it was on sale). I'm sure there are other factors that help determine whether I'll like the coffee or not, but weight seems to be the most significant. I'll usually try any k-cup weighing .35 oz. or more.

They should be fine months past the date. Smilie

How can you tell the weight of each cup before buying?

Simple. Just divide the net weight printed on the front of the box by the quantity of k-cups it contains. Sometimes the individual k-cup weight is also printed on the box. When buying online, sometimes the weight is shown in the product description. Otherwise, you have to look closely at the posted pictures to find the weight(s). If necessary, you could also find the same product on a competitors website for better pictures or weight(s) in the description.
