It includes a Chromecast Ultra which is worth at least $60 in my opinion

The controller itself and google stadia are kind of a neat concept but I don't use it often

I'm pretty sure you had to buy Cyberpunk for $60 to get the free Stadia controller and Chromecast Ultra. Not sure about the Youtube Premium offer.

I've been using the sideloaded app on my Chromecast w/ Google TV and nVidia Shield for awhile now. It works well enough, though is not without its quirks, so I'm greatly looking forward to the offical Android TV version coming soon.

That said, Stadia is legit really good. I'd used GeForce Now previously, and while they are certainly different business models, from a pure streaming standpoint Stadia is way better. I found the graphics quality higher, the startup time much quicker, etc... Both products are good in their own ways, but I really have enjoyed gaming on Stadia and hope they actually invest in getting more games on the platform.

Is this a good controller outside of Stadia usage? I could use the Chromecast and the controller might be a nice bonus for PC gaming (looks like it's Steam compatible?), but not if it's meh quality-wise.

this, even android TVs are getting the treatment. I'm anxious to dust of my Shield with Xbox BT controller for this. At least the free games, don't need another service but glad you mentioned Nvidia, my HP Omen is trying to push gaming on it but I try to keep it cool.

Cyberpunk had massive patches on the Xbox 1x when Stadia was already, ahead of the game. I already have Ultra Chromecast so not dissing this deal, just getting off topic as usual.

Got two of these both came free "you tube premium and cyberpunk deals". If you need one its a pretty good deal but if you can wait I am sure google will give these away for free again. Imho this is the future of gaming, I can play my games on literally any device I have for free (no premium membership required). Only complaint is the visual quality on some titles is inferior due to image compression colors look dull I dont know if premium's colors look any better.
I agree this is the future of gaming but I wouldn't trust Google to stick with it.

Anyone know how the controller feels compared to an xbox one? I'm assuming it's Bluetooth and can be used with a PC?

It's a real head-scratcher of why this wasn't available to begin with, or at least before now considering how long the CCWGTV has been out

I've got a this Stadia as well as the Chromecast TV w/ remote, as well as a Shield Tube.

To answer a bunch of the questions:

The controller feels pretty good, it's a Playstation layout vs an Xbox layout. very rounded, buttons are nice, joysticks work well. Cannot get used to the button layout coming from PS, admittedly, I keep taking screengrabs that go...somewhere?

The Stadia gaming itself is solid, we have 1Gbps internet and it works beautifully...mostly. Celeste was just enough input lag to be not fun for me. If I'm close to the inside network hubs (mesh network) it works smoothly and with full visual fidelity. If I'm farther from the wifi, it does not work as well. Was trying to play the other day and gave up because the internet wasn't consistent enough to maintain the connection needed. Actually cancelled the service today to be honest - I like it, but there are only so many places I need to play games, and so many services that deserve $10.

The Chromecast TV with remote is awesome. I think it's less buggy than my Shield, though notably less powerful. No clue why. But we have nonstop issues w/ the Shield and none with the Chromecast. The Ultra doesn't have a tv interface, even with a remote (happy to be proven wrong, but I don't believe they made it upgradeable).

Supposedly the Stadia app is janky at this point on the chromecast tv from what I've read when sideloading, so not sure they'll hit the June 23 deadline. One can hope!

Anyway, happy to answer any questions if you're still trying to decide. But basically if you're going to game on it, get the stadia one and if you want to watch tv get the remote one.

Wish google created a console. If they were afraid tag team atari VCS. I like the streaming but no way am I upgrading my internet or monthly fee in place of upfront hardware cost.

It probably won't be long until Google kills updates and support for the included Chromecast Ultra as it seems they are focusing on Chromecast with Google TV.

You also have to be a betting person to buy Stadia as the future doesn't look bright for it sadly. I seriously hope I'm wrong about this though!

Yes it is a good price. You can also use your keyboard and mouse to play the games. Or connect a PS4 or PS3 controller to your phone and play. This is really only good for if you're playing it on your TV.

Anyone know if you can sideload apps onto this thing? I use YouTube Vanced for videos and music (no ads, but can't download) and it would be great to do so.

Can't sideload anything on the old Chromecast packaged with this one. You need the one that's named Chromecast with Google TV as that actually runs android.
