It includes a Chromecast Ultra which is worth at least $60 in my opinion

The controller itself and google stadia are kind of a neat concept but I don't use it often

I'm pretty sure you had to buy Cyberpunk for $60 to get the free Stadia controller and Chromecast Ultra. Not sure about the Youtube Premium offer.

Got in on the cyberpunk deal, but my stadia kept crashing once I received it so really didn't get a chance to use it with the subscription.

The unit itself was getting extremely hot, so I would play until it crashed then unplug it from everything. It also did not seem to like being plugged in with other streaming devices as I'd see flickering when others were connected. It was specifically noticeable with the Google TV device also there which was way more enjoyable to use for TV related things.

The ultra got replaced, I had to send everything in the box back. They sent me a new box first. But the new device was nearly as hot as the other, also didn't like being plugged in with other devices.... The crashing didn't happen though. Although my subscription was over and I wasnt going to leave something that got that hot plugged in all the time.

So eventually forgot to use it because when I felt like doing whatever I didn't want to fiddle with stuff behind the TV.

The heat and incompatibility with other devices on the same television was a common search term when I looked it up... So just figured I'd mention my experience with it if someone else starts having odd flickers or device reboots/game crash.

I jumped on this to have a second player along. I have a 7 month free trial that ive been using on and off for a good while. The controller feels comfortable, the chromecast ultra has an ethernet port which is a big upgrade to me over the original chromecast.
Prior to getting a Premiere Bundle, I was playing through my Chromebook with an old SNES bluetooth controller. It worked well and no lag or delay. Only issue was not having enough buttons for most games.
My home network has a 200Mbps internet connection. Stadia plays flawlessly every time.
Been having a great time playing Dead By Daylight, Resident Evil 7&8, Trine 4, Little Nightmares II, and Bomberman.
All cool games and I dont need a console.
I highly recommend getting the bundle at this price. By default Stadia Pro is free for 1 month upon registering.

That is pretty impressive, Best ping I can get is 45ms.

It's not that uncommon, I get it in LA (North Hollywood) and my buddy in Northern Virginia gets 9-10ms ping typically. Are you pinging google directly or using a speedtest/cloud flare/etc service?

Cloud gaming relies on your internet provider not charging you up the butt. You could easily spend 50 bucks more a month if you go over your cap. You are also going to pay 30-40% more on top of that for a console plus more per month to host the datacenters.

for casual gamers tho this may make sense.
Many people already have a good connection without caps. Yes, whether or not you should be interested in this kind of thing at this point depends on your internet.

No idea what you mean about paying for a console/host data centers. There's no console, you don't even need to buy this if you don't want to, you can play through a PC, or on a phone/tablet, and don't need to subscribe to the Pro if you don't want to.

I mean that sooner or later one will pay the cost to run a datacenter. Google is subsidizing this right now. I guess because the cost of equipment is so low it doesn't matter.

Also most people in the us have data caps, so it's not a small percentage and Comcast is rolling them out in the northeast. I have FiOS and no real cap, but that is an anomaly.

Limited game selection on Stadia. I'm not sure if they discount games on Stadia vs XBox or PS digital version or hard copies. Download the Stadia app to your phone to see what games are available. I would still get this if you are interested in Chromecast to your TV.

Got one with my YT preiemum while back, tried briefly with the free trial and it's just been sitting around not being touched.

Is there anything I can use this controller for besides stadia? Can I connect it to my chromecast with googleTV? I tried wire to my pc but still prefer the wireless option with my Xbox controller.

I never got mine either. Wonder 💭 what kinda scam they were running to inflate numbers to avoid total immediate failure

It's worth it if you need or want a chromecast. The Chromecast is nice and powerful so it should be good for a few more years. The controller is well built and works on PC so you can use it for PC gaming if you wanted to.

I got mine for free like you mentioned. I gave my sister the Chromecast which she uses daily and I use the controller every few days.

A lot of people have the overheating issue at 4k with the Chromecast Ultra on certain titles. I forgot to mention that in my earlier posts. If you play more than hour it will sometimes get glitchy or crash but I have a $10 heatsink on mine that stopped the overheating.

What's for free though?
Destiny 2 and Super Bomberman R Online are free to everyone and there's a free trail which will allow you to claim 2 dozen or so games and play them for a month/whenever you are subscribed.

Unfortunately this controller can only be used on a PC with a wire.
So, the controller can't be connected to a PC via Bluetooth for Steam?

I'm too lazy in searching the parent company's site for the answer. LOL

Got two of these both came free "you tube premium and cyberpunk deals". If you need one its a pretty good deal but if you can wait I am sure google will give these away for free again. Imho this is the future of gaming, I can play my games on literally any device I have for free (no premium membership required). Only complaint is the visual quality on some titles is inferior due to image compression colors look dull I dont know if premium's colors look any better.
I got the free offer through YouTube Premium, and also Chromecast with Google TV through YouTube TV.
I'm loving both free items.

Now if only they would add games worth playing it would be a good deal. No excuse for having such a low number of the top 100 games.
