The unit itself was getting extremely hot, so I would play until it crashed then unplug it from everything. It also did not seem to like being plugged in with other streaming devices as I'd see flickering when others were connected. It was specifically noticeable with the Google TV device also there which was way more enjoyable to use for TV related things.
The ultra got replaced, I had to send everything in the box back. They sent me a new box first. But the new device was nearly as hot as the other, also didn't like being plugged in with other devices.... The crashing didn't happen though. Although my subscription was over and I wasnt going to leave something that got that hot plugged in all the time.
So eventually forgot to use it because when I felt like doing whatever I didn't want to fiddle with stuff behind the TV.
The heat and incompatibility with other devices on the same television was a common search term when I looked it up... So just figured I'd mention my experience with it if someone else starts having odd flickers or device reboots/game crash.
Prior to getting a Premiere Bundle, I was playing through my Chromebook with an old SNES bluetooth controller. It worked well and no lag or delay. Only issue was not having enough buttons for most games.
My home network has a 200Mbps internet connection. Stadia plays flawlessly every time.
Been having a great time playing Dead By Daylight, Resident Evil 7&8, Trine 4, Little Nightmares II, and Bomberman.
All cool games and I dont need a console.
I highly recommend getting the bundle at this price. By default Stadia Pro is free for 1 month upon registering.

for casual gamers tho this may make sense.
No idea what you mean about paying for a console/host data centers. There's no console, you don't even need to buy this if you don't want to, you can play through a PC, or on a phone/tablet, and don't need to subscribe to the Pro if you don't want to.

Also most people in the us have data caps, so it's not a small percentage and Comcast is rolling them out in the northeast. I have FiOS and no real cap, but that is an anomaly.
Is there anything I can use this controller for besides stadia? Can I connect it to my chromecast with googleTV? I tried wire to my pc but still prefer the wireless option with my Xbox controller.

I got mine for free like you mentioned. I gave my sister the Chromecast which she uses daily and I use the controller every few days.

I'm too lazy in searching the parent company's site for the answer. LOL
I'm loving both free items.
