It isn't. At $350 you're not paying much more than the $300 Oly set at Dick's and you're getting coated plates and a far better bar. FYI there are commercial plates/dumbbells that cost $10/lb and bars that cost upwards of $1k.

Pretty small premium for the rubber coating (over iron). I was thinking these were full bumper plates, which would be truly slick.

No, those are standard sand weights (vs Olympic rubber-coated metal plates) and a standard bar that probably has ~300-lb capacity (vs an Oly bar with a 700-lb capacity). Also, it looks like that price is just for the rack.

Got these last time this deal was posted. I use the weights almost everyday and they are definitely worth the money. Also, the shipment packaging was ridiculous; it was the best packed item that I've ever received. Received the cash card promptly as well (about 3 weeks after purchase).

Btw, use the $50 off $500 coupon to sweeten the deal. You may have to add a filler to hit $500.
