It isn't. At $350 you're not paying much more than the $300 Oly set at Dick's and you're getting coated plates and a far better bar. FYI there are commercial plates/dumbbells that cost $10/lb and bars that cost upwards of $1k.

This was previously a front page deal at $500 - https://slickdeals.net/f/14984531-inspire-fitness-rubber-300-lb-olympic-weight-set-499-99

There is some excellent discussion about the weights there - additionally, this would have been a nice deal pre-covid for new coated weights delivered to your door.

Right, and bumpers are usually all the same radius, so if you're doing any work below 135#, the bar sits on the ground at normal height.

Good thing I do all my work, including curls, at 225+!

I only curl 225 in the squat rack.

I was gifted a couple 45# bumper plates. Is it a problem to mix those with this set for squats or dead lifts?

No as long as you aren't dropping them. If you are dropping them make sure the bumpers are the only ones hitting the floor and then you should be fine.

Is the Costco power cage any good? Seems to go well with the barbell set. Inspire Fitness Full Power Cage | Costco https://www.costco.com/.product.100718501.html

Yeah looks really nice. The safety pins with the outer safety catches too is a super nice feature. Usually you get one or the other only.

11 ga is heavy duty as well. Really decent price considering all the accessories that come with it and apparent build quality.

Costco has 5% gas also with Costco Citi card.
I believe Costco Citi credit card earns 4% at gas station.

At $800 for a rack IMO look into name brands (i.e. Rogue, Rep, etc)

This rack is a great value. It comes with a landmine attachment too.

The main issue is the 1" hole spacing is 3" apart... but it's 11 gauge 1" holes so beyond solid rack.

How does this set compare to the $300 set from Dicks? Is this much better for $200 more?

The bar is rated for over 1.5x the weight capacity of the Dick's set. The plates are coated so they are far less likely to crack when doing deadlifts, will hold up far better to corrosion and will make less noise when loading/unloading plates (a concern for some in a home gym that lift when the kids are sleeping). You're also really only paying about $50 more since this set comes with a $150 Costco GC if you pay with the Costco Visa.
