If I was consistently lifting, I would definitely jump on this but I cannot justify the cost how I keep on quitting after lifting for a few months.
As for the price, you really have to take the $150 in consideration as well. So it is really $350, not $500 when compared to the other sets
Just ordered another set for some extra plates and will sell the bar (and possibly most smaller plates if I can get anything for them).
Get the $50 off coupon through costco chat then add another item (I got flip flops) to go over $500...you can return your filler item, I waited until after I got the $150 card just in case.
BTW mine came in a wooden mini-crate, but it was some really lousy and seriously beat up wood haha.

Yeah I'd definitely recommend counting the plates and making sure they're all there if possible before the truck leaves, especially if you're in my boat and the trucking guys have 5 sets to deliver that day and they're all uncrated. (that said I'd prefer the extra tens over fives)

Is the Costco CC generally a good card?
I have been looking for weights and this came at a perfect time, although I'd prefer a card with a good sign-on bonus. The cashback categories on this card looks pretty good though. Also, can I apply for the card now and purchase this now for $350? Or would I need to wait to get approved and receive the card to buy this set? TIA.
