If LockpickingLawyer has taught me anything, it's to never trust Masterlock with anything more than to hold a door closed. Not an awful price for a throwaway padlock though.

Garbage... Very unreliable. It is fun to have up up down down left right left right as a code though.

On a side note, I used my dremel last weekend to free a bolt that had a stainless steel cable (similar to bike locks) wrapped around it, and it cut through the cable in like 10 seconds. I'm sure it could get through a padlock like this in a minute or less.

It just made me realize that if someone *really* wanted to get through locks like this, they'd have no issue with a $30 battery-powered dremel.

True. Had this one a while ago and eventually it wouldn't unlock and had to break out the bolt cutters.

My father already said, "Locks only keep honest people out" and as a kid I had no idea what that meant- locks keep EVERYBODY out!

A few months on r/lockpicking and a few dozen BB and LPL videos later…

Knock the lock all you want. Not a bad lock. I've used this for over 4 years in southern ca. Not an outdoor lock but if you spray it once an awhile lubricant ot problem in using outdoors. My guess is that if I hit it with a hammer I could probably break it. I use them as deterrents and for their ease of use. Easy to program (I program them all to use same combo. It doesn't matter if its dark our or not I use strictly with touch. Take a picture with my phone never a problem with lost combination or key. Much less trouble than running back into house to find key. It top notch security is your goal go elsewhere I won't argue. Light security and to keep honest people honest you can't go wrong. I would gladly pay full price . To each their own.
