Bought one a while back and it's a paper weight now. My iPhone 12 Max stays connected for minutes at best even without a case on. With a minimal case forget it. I have Anker and Ravpower mats that work perfectly. This mophie is junk. Save the $10.
This thing is garbage. iPhone 12 gets warm when using it sometimes. Also the charger at times will suddenly start blinking and not charge. I contacted Amazon and they sent me another one it's super unreliable. Also it uses its own charger style. AC adapter and special plug. Stay away. FAR away.
Use it ONLY if you plan on standing the phone up. If you put it flat, you're going to have a bad time. Alignment is nearly impossible on first try while flat.
I believe it's not one coil but two coils on top and bottom. So whenever I set the phone down flat, I keep thinking it's at the center but nope, it needs to be offset by a little to the point where my phone is sticking out.
This thing is one of those cases when if it seems too good to be true, it is. It is 100% garbage. Does not work. When you place your phone on the base it will stop charging it 5-10 minutes later. I've tried two different units and had the same experience. Let me save you a lot of aggravation and tell you DON'T DO IT!

Even for my XR, it's finicky at best. If I want it to fully charge, I have to take my phone out of the case and leave it overnight.
With the case on, it'll charge for maybe 2-3 minutes before cutting out. Never had a problem with my Anker wireless chargers.
