Not to start a whole physical vs digital debate but yeah it depends on what matters to you. Digital like you said is great if you dont want to swap out disks or wait for the physical game to arrive in the mail or have no space in your home for physical media. Physical is great for any potential re-sale value as well as some immunity from the digital storefront going down at some point in the future (although the jury is still out on this). But overall there's no right answer, it depends on what matters to you individually.

It is called custom installation. Works on many of the large games like Halo MCC, COD, etc.

Here are the directions for Halo MCC:

It also works in reverse for games on Xbox as well. If you go into the Manage Game and Add Ons for some games like MCC, you can delete off certain components and campaigns once you complete them or don't want installed anymore.

I'm in the same boat as you, and this is what I have gathered so far.
Halo MCC for PC: Includes all 6 games (this page [microsoft.com] list individual games under "In this bundle")
Halo MCC for Xbox (digital from MS Store): includes all 6 games (this page [microsoft.com] list MCC + two DLCs)

So, the question is whether the digital download code from other retailers is for the old MCC (4 games) or the new MCC (4 games + 2 DLCs).

If the digital code is only 4 games, you can still get Reach and ODST DLCs for $5 and $2.50, for total of $17.50 (still less than Halo MCC on MS Store at $20)

It doesn't come with Halo Reach and ODST campaigns, also doesn't include ODST firefight mode. It does have Halo Reach multiplayer though.

Yes perfectly summed up. The dumb thing is that the description lists the two games as add ons even though it's included in the bundle.

Multiple customer reviews on Best Buy website mention that no ODST or Reach is included, only 4 games are included. I guess the same as the digital version from Amazon.
