RTINGS Review: 7.5/10
"The Samsung Q70 is good for mixed usage. While this TV lacks local dimming, it's still good for watching movies or gaming in the dark due to it's high native contrast ratio. It's also suited to well-lit rooms, as it gets bright enough to overcome glare. With a very fast response time, this TV delivers smooth motion in content like sports and video games, and its low input lag makes it feel responsive when gaming or connected to a PC. HDR looks decent, but it doesn't get bright enough to bring out the brightest highlights."

Can use your My BB CC with this deal for 5% Rewards ($140) plus the $700 GC which makes this deal better than Amazon's. Plus the BB GCs never expire; the $500 credit at Amazon expires 11/15/2021.

Is this better than Q70t?
From RTINGS: "The Samsung Q70/Q70A QLED is the successor to the Samsung Q70/Q70T QLED, and while it offers a couple of improvements, it's not as big of a step up as you might expect. The biggest improvement is its response time. The Q70T has an okay response time but likely not good enough for more competitive gamers, whereas the Q70A is significantly faster, resulting in less motion blur. The Q70A also gets a bit brighter in HDR, resulting in a better overall HDR experience, and its backlight flickers at a much higher frequency than the Q70T's, which is good news for those who are sensitive to flicker."

This is insane. I paid $3500 for the 85" q90T. Great tv, super bright, good blacks but not oled. Wow. Monster deal.
3500 is a good deal for that model. I got the 65" for $1540 a couple months back. Found a 75" Q900r 8k for the living room last year for $3k. We want to move the Q90t to the master, the Q900r to the basement and upgrade the living room to a 80"+

Well.... The Q90 is the pinnacle of LCD/LED TVs and better than the Q80

Wouldn't the Sony 900 be the better option at this pricepoint?
Pardon my ignorance if I'm wrong, I haven't been in the market for a TV for months.

Pinnacle?

Also, it's great. Honestly. Actually got it calibrated to match actual in person quality and it brought the brightness down. But now you can focus on what's happening instead of your eyes dealing with the brightness.

Yes, I typed "PINNACLE" but auto correct though "PENTACLE" was more appropriate..I didn't noticed before submitting.

Agreed, I know people want it for the size, but I urge people to go to bestbuy and actually look at this TV in person. It is pretty disappointing in color and brightness for the price imo.

How would this compare to the TCL 85r745?
Honestly, pretty comparable. This can do 4k120 with vrr, while the TCL can't

The Sony x900h has so many issues, I would say no. 4k120 is broke. No vrr. Banding in lower bit rate content.
Q70A does not have any of these issues. Is one major knock is no Dolby Vision

I saw the Q70A at video only, there was no issues with color or picture quality compared to other LED TVs. It was significantly better then the Q60A and even better then Q80A due to the terrible ADS panel. There were no glaring differences between it and the X90J or X950H in terms of PQ. The only TVs they had with a real advantage were the C1, QN90A and Q90T. All cost a lot more.

To each their own, the only reason it looks better than the Q60 is because that tv looks terribad. I was extremely disappointed in the Q70 as far as quality to price tag is concerned

Did you see a Q70T or the new Q70A? This years model is better in every way from last years… brighter, higher contrast, more color volume, faster response, etc
