How does this compare to Costco coupon deals?

I think Costco has pack of 5 IIRC

I bought some from Costco, but I don't think I'll buy it again.

First, there is no ADA seal, at least on the tubes I bought.

Second, it's supposed to be whitening, but there is a warning on the back about the product staining teeth.

Third, I prefer the taste of regular Colgate to Crest, but this formula has a weird taste that lingers.

You will find the ADA seal absent from most toothpaste boxes and most brands. This has been the case for many years now. I don't know for certain but I believe the ADA does not buy in to the fancy new theories toothpaste has taken on over the past. As an example one variety that promotes Gum Care. Perhaps the Ada does not buy in to the data. Again I don't know for certain, but I do know that these seals have been missing for for years. You will still find them on the more traditional varieties of each brand. I remember calling Crest many years ago and their response was the shield cost extra money and they want to keep the cost down for us. LOL

I stand corrected. I just checked the Crest tube and don't see a seal. If Colgate and Crest no longer have the seal, I wonder if any other toothpaste does.

People mention a weird taste or tingling with Stannous Fluoride Toothpaste. If that happens the Stannous Fuoride is killing a bacterial infection other fluorides don't. When the infection is under control or gone the weird taste or tingling will go away.

I bought this in a previous deal and it ended up irritating my mouth. It was subtle at first and took a few weeks, but eventually it seemed to eat away a layer of the inside of my mouth. It took me awhile to figure it out and several days to get back to normal. It's like a slow motion destruction of the inside of your lips. If your lips/inner mouth sticks to you teeth, that's bad and you should prob stop using it. Just a warning for anyone trying it out.

I'm glad this is the whitening kind so I can happily skip this deal. Whitening chemicals are terrible for you.

At Costco when they have discounts, probably 2 times a year, it's $10 for a pack of 5 x 6.4 oz

I usually use Sensodyne but i got a couple tubes of this stuff on sale. I dont like it cause I find the unused toothpaste caked up at the base of the bristles after every brushing. i cant simply rinse the brush clean after brushing. I never had that problem with Sensodyne.

As I as I stated, the the more traditional versions of those brands will have the seal. Look for the ones in the red box for Colgate the next time you think of it while you're in the store. For Crest simply the lower non specialty varieties such as Tarter Control. The cheaper ones in other words.

Couldn't the source to that but here's a reference as to why Stannous Fluoride is more effective than Sodium Fluoride.

https://www.healthline.com/health...m-fluoride

What's the difference between stannous fluoride and sodium fluoride?
Sodium fluoride is another type of fluoride you might see in oral health products, such as some toothpastes. It can help fight cavities while strengthening your enamel. However, it can't fight gingivitis, prevent tooth decay, and freshen your breath like stannous fluoride.
One studyTrusted Source even found that stannous fluoride was far more effective in fighting bacteria compared to sodium fluoride.
As a rule of thumb, if you're looking for all-around protection (and not just cavity prevention), then stannous fluoride is the preferred fluoride of choice for your oral health. Sodium fluoride doesn't cut it when considering tooth decay prevention.
