Can't say enough positive things about the Kinvara 11. I'm currently on my second pair and they have one of the most comfortable uppers of any running shoe I've worn.

The stack height is on the medium to low side so I wouldn't recommend this for runs over 13 miles or so. It's surprisingly squishy and honestly isn't great for super fast paces. Also, in my experience I only get about 250 miles out of these. They don't really have any outsole at all.

These fit true to size (as far as Saucony's go) with plenty of room in the mid and forefoot. I'd go with your size in Nike and you should be good to go in these, except they don't suffer from the narrowness issues Nikes seem to have lately.

These shoes are not for low arches and flat feet. They are not for overpronators either.

There may also be a military, healthcare, or education IDme discount that stacks- but I cannot test

So these don't have the hard sole? I can't remember what Kinvara's I had but they were the best soles I've had. I wear soles out very quickly but those lasted months. That's disappointing if they changed them.
It's a soft sole with a bit of hard rubber added in the spots that get the most use - see the orange spots:

You wear on the rubber would vary based on your stride. But also the foam itself looses its cushioning properties around 350-450 miles.

How are these compared to the Nike Zoom Winflo?

They're completely different in every way. The Nike's are stability shoes with a high heel-to-toe drop. These Saucony's are neutral, lighter, with a low heel-to-toe drop.

He-he. They changed the model considerably from older generations like Kinvara 9, particularly shrunk it from width D to Regular (about half an inch narrower than it used to be), removed most of the hard rubber from the outsole and changed the foam to be harder (they used to be more squishy, but somehow more responsive). All in all, it is a lot less comfortable on my medium-wide foot and less responsive shoe than it used to be, though it is still a fast shoe and pretty comfortable if not for the width issue. I've done several marathons in the #9 and #10, but they indeed not good for slow long runs. Might try #11 in wide.
My current ones are model 3. Yes, I haven't run much in the last several years. I see that the offset is still 4mm (28/24). Model 3 was 22/18. I guess it's the 4mm drop that makes them "minimalist" but do you think that the extra height (or other changes) make the 11s essentially a completely different shoe than the Kinvaras from years ago? Or do you think I'll be safe with these feeling essentially the same? Thanks.

I don't think the riding profile has changed all that much and I still love the feel they ride (I started from #8 or #9, don't remember). They are still comfy and very stable - many of my stability injuries went away once I switched to Kinvaras. The height also stayed the same, or maybe a tad lower.

The changes that I do notice is foam density and toebox width (the width does affect the stability a bit and the new gen feels a bit more rolly). If you have a normal to narrow foot, they will likely feel as the same shoe. Was about to order them in wide, but my size got sold out when I was about to place an order.

Also, check out New Balance Men's FuelCell Propel V2. They feel somewhat similar to Kinvaras, especially in wide, but last way longer.

I just received my Kinvaras today. I have always worn Asics since my high school cross country days. I decided to try something new, having always ran in the Asics GT series. I comfortably wear a 10 non wide in the Asics. I decided to get the Kinvaras in a 10 wide after reading reviews explaining that these new 11s are narrow. I took them for a quick 2 mile run to see how they feel and they felt good. I wish they were just a little longer in the toe box, but they will fit great after breaking them in. But, I have to wear very thin athletic socks with these, as my thicker running socks feel too cramped when wearing them. Just wanted to give my opinion on these.
