Today while shopping at Lowe's I found this nail gun for under $100. After speaking with the tool person, they informed me that most of the equipment on that road would be going on clearance within the next week. I suspect some pretty good deals coming out of this.

I own a Passlode Angled Framing Nailer and like it a lot. I know some people out there don't care for the design in that it requires fuel cartridges, but I don't mind, although it is an extra ongoing expense.

I'm not surprised they're going on clearance. I've been trying to sell mine for like a year with zero interest. I suspect most people (like myself) are going with non-gas models.

For those new to Paslode or looking to get into cordless nailers, know that these require both battery power and gas cartridges. The battery isn't doing much in these units so they last quite a while on a single charge. The gas is what's doing the work and needs to be replaced once fully spent, usually every 1000-1300 nails. No gas...no nails, even if the battery is fully charged.

Not mentioning as a deterrent, many have these and love them, but you'll want to know it's not quite as easy as popping in a new battery and going.

There was a craftsman cordless framing nailer that had a price mistake on it about 2 or 3 weeks ago at Lowes. He is referencing that. My order got canceled 😞

Question on the gas cartridge; if I shoot 100 nails and put it away for 6-months before I need it again will the cartridge remain charged? For someone who uses infrequently it wouldn't be ideal to buy a new cartridge every use.

That's a good question. I've used these guns a couple times but they weren't mine and I never had to store the gas cartridges so i can't really answer. This tech has been around for quite a while so I'm sure that's been asked and answered somewhere on the net.

Yes, they can be stored without leaking. I remove mine when I am done.
