If you search the thread, there is also a bundling offer that drops the price down another 10% to $2906.99. Thus far the cheapest qualifying item most found to be the galaxy plus ear buds. The discount program pricing and bundle discount will bring that item's price down to $64.79. For a total of $2971.78 plus tax for this 85" tv (and ear buds)! If you have an old wired or wireless headset to trade in for recycling you also get an instant $20 off through the trade in.
Searching the thread will also mention a cancel trick to generate a price $100 less for the TV. Not going into detail here since it seems like an automation exploit, and may have even been patched according to a recent report from an SDer.
YMMV on cb redemption through the different cashback sites.
85" was OOS for a bit, but appears to be back now with a later starting shipping date of July 9.

you are right, there is no market for larger than 77" oled and most people will never drop original msrp of 5k on this tv. but if it retails for $2.8k like what i just paid for this tv after all, i'm sure that would be bigger market for it.
i thought 50" plasma was huge when i first set it up. then went to a 65" lcd and thought wow what a difference. Now using a 75" and you know where i'm going with this
Honestly...I think there is more to it than black levels and brightness(in the case of an LCD)
It if wasnt the TCL 8 series would have been a run away seller..because it has levels of brightness and black levels that competed with the TV in this thread for significantly less money
However its picture processing was horrific and thats probably the reason why you can still find 2019 models in some Best Buy stores
Ones a Qled tv the others an Oled , they both have their advantages.
Dark room viewing Oled will always be superior , bright room viewing the Mini Led will always be superior.
Oled no blooming, perfect contrast
Mini Led from Samsung Hdr peak brightness
Oled technology is some of the best, Led TVs are doing great as well. Every tv has its place
✌️
I said OLED's have gotten better...the Sony A90J is clearly on top right now but the LGs have gotten better as well
I think my CX has better picture processing than the E7 I bought in 2018
I guess " superior" depends on what you are watching and your opinion
Depending on how much you value off angle viewing, color saturation and panel uniformity...that could dictate which one you choose
But if you are just just talking brightness...then yes LCD will win...just black levels OLED will win
I just think there is more to the equation than that
And I am comparing panels in my own home...A Sony Z9D, X930E bothof which are both 1500+ nit TV's to a pair of OLEDs I have ....an LG E7 and a CX
But,please tell me about your TV's and what you have personally seen...
Secondly, my kitchen is adjacent to family room so viewing angle becomes very important as well. Both anti-reflection and viewing angle is better in qn90a compared to lg cx so it is an easy choice for me to pick qn90a. I don't do much night time movie watching where lg cx will excel.
If anyone has situation like me with windows in room and watching tv at high angle (45 to 55 degrees angle) while in kitchen then LG OLED may not be a good choice.
But for 75 inch qn90a price is $2500 with EPP and 77 inch cx price is about $3200 so 75-77 inch models can be compared but not 85 inch ones.

Edit: I confused TV Accessories with actual TV. Looks like top cashback good for TV purchases.

I end up not getting the extra 10% discount ($275 factor in the earbud cost) but keeping the 3 years warranty. $275 is actually not bad for the 2 extra years. The TV is so big and heavy so I want a peace of mind knowing Samsung will come fix or replace it.
