Why not use a rotary or die grinder in that scenario? Just curious.
I don't have this particular tool but since the belt has a little flex it probably works better around curves and spirals. Also a little safer than a grinder and quicker than a small rotary tool. Is does seem a little application specific while the other tools you mentioned have broader uses.
