VA will have a higher contrast ratio and better black levels. IPS will better maintain color saturation when viewed at an angle. The curve helps with off-angle viewing, so I'd actually say go with VA to reap the contrast benefit.

Anyone able to compare the real life difference of Dell VA vs IPS. I have the IPS version and it's excellent. How much different will the VA be? I'm guessing not as vivid?

I have the S3221QS VA display which has excellent 4ms response times, sharp text and vibrant colors. I had the 34" Acer from Costco which was not even in the same class overall. Also, if the sound quality in this 34 is as good as the S33221, you will be pleasantly surprised.

How is the Anti Glare coating on this one? Does it make text grainy? And does Dell have easy returns?

I am returning the otherwise excellent 27 Acer ED273UR VA Panel 144Hz because of that. It bothers my eyes how grainy text can be after staring at it for an our or two. I have an 6-7 year old 27Acer next to it that does much better with smoothing.

Yes curved screens reduce the viewing angle benefits of IPS unless you (for some strange reason) are planning to frequently view your curved monitor from an angle.

Also most standard televisions are VA. It's all relative.
