Edit: OMG it is a misprint. If you watch the "video" (of still images) on the shop page, they aren't misaligned.
Working theory:
HD Employee: "Oh man these paw mats are messed up. How are we going to sell them?"
HD Manager: "Just put a photo up like they're supposed to be that way. We'll discount it for the normal price with a couple nicer mats in really low quantities so they sell out immediately. Some suckers will buy them."
