A word of caution:. this product's analysis is 32-0-4, which means 32% of the bag is nitrogen. Pushing a lot of nitrogen will promote a lot of grass growth, which can actually stress the lawn in the summertime when temperatures get really hot.
For lawns in the northern half of the country, it's best to apply this in the spring and fall during the peak growing seasons when the lawn isn't being punished by high temps and relatively little water. We're quickly getting into the period of the season when it's best to not push a whole lot of growth.
For $45 at Sams club or Costco, or $49 at lowes this week, you can get a 15M bag of fertilizer plus weed control (in Scotts mix its a blend of Dicamba and Mecoprop that does a pretty thorough job on summer weeds). The extra $12 is soooo worth all the weeds it will kill. Unless you have an alternate weed control process in place, dont bother with fertilizer only.

Yes the yellow bag is basically this (year round blend fertilizer) plus weed control. Scotts makes a 'summer' blend (the orange bag) if you live in a dry/hot area thats optimized for root health. However its not technically summer and the worst of it (for most of the US) hits at the end of july with high temps and low moisture so for now the yellow bag is the blend to apply. If you arent going to use it for a few weeks, yeah just wait for the orange bag.

That is generic broad leaf weed killer + Fertilizer. Will not kill summer weeds or grassy weeds which get out of control in summer.
Always better to buy the fertilizer and buy weed specific hose end sprayer meant for either summer grassy weeds or generic broad leaf weeds. Doing a foliage application has more immediate impact than letting the granules sit there to be dissolved by water in heat of the summer. Atleast for nearly the same price you get a better application results in terms of weed killing.
Also if someone seeded or sodded this season weed and feeds cannot be used either.

Really depends on what youre targeting. If you let your pregermination control wear out then yeah youre going to get crabgrass that wont be stopped by granule weed killers. The big downside to the liquid weed killers is usually you get something with Quinclorac and that it says its grass safe, but it will readily kill your grass if the weather is too hot (90F or above) and youre not watering like crazy. Always read the instructions carefully.
