Example where it works: you have a $4 RR for having bought 2 Gain Laundry Detergents. Using that $4 RR on this deal will give you the $4 RR when buying 2 Colgate toothpastes.
Example where it doesn't work: you do this deal on Sunday, paying cash for it and receiving the $4 RR for having bought 2 Colgate toothpastes. On Monday, you do this deal again using the $4 RR that printed on Sunday - since you are using the same offer/deal/RR, another $4 RR will not print.
It is shown in the weekly ad. I have had one instance where my RR didn't print - the store associate wasn't helpful and didnt't have a weekly ad on site. I chatted with Walgreens customer service and was given my rewards near instantly.
