A Quiet Place 2 is coming to Paramount + in July. May be be worth signing up for that.

If you cancel right away, you'll only get 1 month of service, since the promotion is not charging you for a 2-month sub all at once. If you want the second month for a buck, you can't cancel until you're charged your second monthly subscription fee, at the earliest.

The AMC+ trial is worth it just to watch Gangs of London. It's one of the best new shows I've watched in the last couple of years, but nobody knows about it because it's stuck on a weird streaming service.

Couldn't see anywhere if this was for new customers only? I prepaid Paramount+ for a year. Would this add two months?

Edit: Nevermind. I realize this would go through Amazon Prime's service and not directly through Paramount+.

All free content. Pass.
Think about that again when you're past the two free (with Prime) seasons of Daniel Tiger....

This is the opposite of cable. Cable bundles everything up into just a few big bundles with whatever random channels they choose (and reserve the right to change whenever they like), charge you tons of extra fees, and only the premium cable channels are a la carte.

With a la carte streaming services, you get much more choice by splitting the channels up into their own individual services or mini-packages at a lower price (and no extra fees) so you can choose to subscribe to as little as one at a time, and explore their catalog fully before moving onto the next, taking advantage of separate free trials and promotions along the way.

Cable is still there for you if you want convenience and lots of stuff you won't actually watch at a high price, but streaming services are way different and much cheaper if you're not so lazy that you just subscribe to everything at the same time and keep paying for services you aren't really using.

If this were like cable, I would have to sign up for this entire list of channels, they would throw in another hundred channels for "free" and charge $85 before tax plus another $10 for equipment rental.

Does it still charge $2 total in that case?

Yeah, it'll charge you $1 immediately, then another $1 in a month, then the normal price the following month if you haven't cancelled by then.

Wow, it's got great reviews and I've never heard of it! Thanks for the recommendation, I'll definitely check it out.

Can I cancel right after purchase and still get the full 2 month $0.99 period? I don't want to set a reminder to cancel in 2 months unless I have to.
That does sound really hard to do. You just spent more time typing this than you would have setting a reminder in your phone.
