Also beware you don't always have the full selection of shows via Amazon that you do directly thru the actual service. People were making that comment about Shudder during last month's deal. https://slickdeals.net/forums/showpost.php?p=
I noticed it with Motor Trend via amazon too. They didn't have all the shows that were available on the actual Motor Trend app. On the upside, at least I only paid 99 cents to find that out.
We used to have Blockbuster and to be honest, I used to enjoy going with my daughter, selecting movies, buying old ones on sales, good or bad, it was really good experience, then, comes the home delivery, then comes Netflix and then come Netflix online..
Then we get rid of cable, everything was in one place, but, gosh so expensive right?
So, we have different streaming services and eventually, there are so many streaming services, I realized, or before I even realized, I am subscribed to 5-6 different streaming services and almost paying what we used to pay for Cable, except now, I have to change from one streaming service to another.

With a la carte streaming services, you get much more choice by splitting the channels up into their own individual services or mini-packages at a lower price (and no extra fees) so you can choose to subscribe to as little as one at a time, and explore their catalog fully before moving onto the next, taking advantage of separate free trials and promotions along the way.
Cable is still there for you if you want convenience and lots of stuff you won't actually watch at a high price, but streaming services are way different and much cheaper if you're not so lazy that you just subscribe to everything at the same time and keep paying for services you aren't really using.
