About this deal:
Statement credit will appear on your billing statement within 90 days after 12/14/2021, provided that American Express receives information from the merchant about your qualifying purchase
Enrollment limited.
Must first add offer to Card and then use same Card to redeem.
Limit 1 enrolled Card per Card Member across all American Express offer channels.
Please note, that unless you notify HBO Max that you want to pause, cancel, or that you do not want to auto renew, your subscription will automatically renew for another subscription period (subject to applicable law) of equal length (annually).
Since this promo is good until December, would be worthwhile to wait a bit and see if there'll be any HBO sales to stack this with, especially around Black Friday.
Here are the differences:
The Ad plan: commercials, no same-day releases, HD quality vs. 4k, and you're unable to download movies for offline viewing.
My Amex offers expiration is 12/14/21.
I and many of the folks I know have recently or are about to cancel Netflix after years of continuous subscription. More people are realizing it's no longer the value it once was.

Hi, American Express card holders can now get $25 back by spending $100 on HBO Max. There are two subscriptions $99.99 with Ads and $149.99 without Ads. Opting anyone would be a win-win situation.
Not a good deal to me...
99.99 with ads is way too much for HBO by my standard... and taxes on top of it.
May be useful to people who are already paying for HBO annually.
I really hate ads so if I have to use any streaming service I would always go with the no-ads.
The offer is $99.99 or more -- good through 12/14/21
I think they meant to clarify the original post. If I hadn't seen the offer before this thread, I might have had the same thought. I've seen a number of offers that make the OOP price just enough to have to get the higher plan so I can see how saying you need to spend $100 could be confusing.

Sorry, the text of the offer disappeared after I added it to my account, so I was going off my faulty memory. Updated the OP to $99.99.
Our free hbomax promo (via AT&T) expires in Sept, so I may consider this. Anyone know if the ad-free version is going to continue to get in-theater same day releases for 4 weeks? Or is that just a temporary perk?

Clarify it's spend 99.99, not 100. I initially discarded it because I don't pay tax on streaming so I wouldn't hit $100.
Is there an end date to the offer?
