I don't know why you are downvoted. Is this the deal we have been waiting for months?

My advice is to never worry about or even comment on the downvotes. People are people. A solid deal will quickly overcome the occasional downvote. And this is a super solid deal.

OP, Please change the title to 263 as its listed as 253. 263 are much sought speakers. They are amazing.
In my original post, I did say, 263, not 253. When Slick posted the deal on the front page, powerfuldoppler mistakenly put 253. Once SlickDeals puts the deal on their front page, I cannot edit the post anymore. I did send powerfuldoppler a reply, asking him to change it to 263!!

Thanks for the heads up!

Yep, that is my question. Does the 80-350 range sound any better on the 6.5" vs the 5.5" ?

I currently have 10" Klipsch sub with 162s L/R and RC262 center, so I'm considering upgrading to the 263s, or 253 due to being smaller.
I would still get the 263. They are highly regarded as one of the best bang for buck when on sale. They are asleep higher sensitivity I believe compared to the 253.

Even though the 253 is smaller, I would make the effort for the 263.

Also, it's easier for the speaker to tone things down then to turn it up. Go for the 263 so you won't have to worry if you are leaving anything on the table.

I am considering piecing together a home theater system of Infinity Reference speakers. That said, I am anxious to buy these and then need to wait for the next sale on the center, sub, and shelf speakers. Anyone know how often those sales pop up?

That does not sounds right lol
It's geometry. Area = pi times radius squared. So even a small increase in the radius of your circle will result in a large increase to area. Math lol bulb

Do the matching center 263 go on sale along with this generally? Or should I buy this now and wait for a deal on the centers?

Just enter "Infinity Speaker" in the SD search bar. You'll see exactly how often and for how much.
You will have to skip over a few Car speaker threads.

This was the reason I went with Klipsch (2x RP8000F and a RP504C) a week ago so I could at least have the LCR taken care of. I'm still planning to get 2 pairs of Infinity RS152 for rear and side surrounds but I can be more patient with those (or just get something else in that price range since the Klipsch surrounds were way over the budget). At the time the infinity 263 towers were $250 each so a difference of $300 for a pair between them and the RP8000F towers at $400 each. From looking at past Infinity/Harmon SD threads, they seem to have a sale pretty much monthly but looks like the Infinity RC263 center also hasn't been in stock for a while.

Must resist.....
Already got the 253 from the last deal. I am quite pleased with them.
If I didn't already have the 253 this would be a no brainer.
Thanks for the post op!

Have these and love them. Just pay attention to the dimensions are they are far from a compact design.

Gotcha, thanks for the reply. I am worried about the RC263 center being OOS. Guess I need to wait and see if one of those sales happens where all of the equipment is discounted (and hopefully in stock!).

Great. I dont want people to thumbs down this page thinking that its 253. 263 at this price is very good.

Just got the rf8000's, how do these compare? Any advice for a matching sub?
Having heard both many times it just comes down to a sound preference especially since they have distinct different sounds.

The 8000's will be more dynamic upfront and have more full bass.
These are more laid back and cheaper.

These are also less efficient so many people will perceive they need more power to get the best out of them even though the recommended power range is 20-200 watts.

Newb question here.
Is there much of a music sound quality (rock, country, pop) difference between the 263 or 253 when pairing both with a sub?
Rock/country/pop all sounds solid on these without the sub. When i play vinyls sometimes i only use these and sometimes i throw the sub in, either way they are great and i rarely turn the sub up past the power of these speakers unless its for movies.
