I don't know why you are downvoted. Is this the deal we have been waiting for months?

My advice is to never worry about or even comment on the downvotes. People are people. A solid deal will quickly overcome the occasional downvote. And this is a super solid deal.

I purchased these speakers last year and couldn't be happier! Blew me away and exceeded the heck out of my expectations!!!
I read some users had their boxes damage. How was the delivery of the speakers? I just ordered these. Can't wait to get it but unfortunately the center speaker are still sold out. What did you think of the center speaker?

Seeing a lot of speakers on sale. Trying to put together a new media center with a 77 inch OLED as the center piece. How do I go about doing research on speakers? It feels overwhelming.

I ordered these almost exactly one year ago and the boxes were pretty beat-up when they arrived. If the UPS guy hadn't scampered off before I realized they'd been delivered I'd have refused them. As it turned out the speakers were unscathed except for one tiny dent in the back of one that can't be seen anyway.

I'm very happy with them as the main L/R channel in my 5.2 system and don't think you can find a better sounding speaker for $200, but they are BIG. Keep that in mind as you plan their placement.

Great thanks. I'm trying to piece meal my setup at the moment.
I got the Costco deal, Yamaha TSR-700 for my receiver during BF.
I already got Infinity RS152 for my back speakers. I hope my boxes don't get beat up like what the other customers reported. Lastly, I'm waiting for the center speaker to go back in stock and on sale, RC263.

Hi all, would these be a worthy upgrade over my current Polk Audio Monitor60 Series II floor standing speakers?

I also have a Polk Audio CS2 Series II Center Channel Speaker to go with a Bic 12" sub.

They would be primarily for movies and sports watching. No music.

Unfortunately you are asking an extremely broad question within the most subjective topic there is.

Keep in mind that one person's great can be someone else's bad and neither would apply to you.

So you are going to get a lot of opposing "sale pitches" but unless you actually listen for yourself your not going to really know which is correct for YOU.

The great thing is if you search/go by you listening whatever you pick is correct.

If you are in no hurry I would suggest listening to whatever you can around you.
This will give you a starting point on finding what sound good or bad to you.

One suggestion I would make is to concentrate on just a 5.1 setup for now.

Too often people stretch their budget to include "Atmos" causing less quality to the overall system.

You can always upgrade later and TBH you should have a good 5.1 before upgrading to "Atmos" anyways.

Hope this helps and good luck.

You need a stereo receiver, in between these and your tv. Your Vizio system was not designed to work with other speakers.
Thanks

Honestly just find a brand with good reviews and buy that when it's on sale. Thats what I did.

A year and a half ago I bought the subwoofer, center piece and two side speakers from this site and brand. They're pretty damn good!

Now I'm gonna shell out the extra money to complete that set up with these since I now have a bigger house.

I will say the receiver is something I didn't anticipate needing (I was/am a speaker noob) and I just bit the bullet and bought an expensive 500-600 dollar one. And that was the sale price. What's the point of buying good speakers just to cheap out on the receiver.

Anyone comment on these vs JBL 530 bookshelf speakers for music exclusively? With speaker stands the price would be comparable...

Or these vs Triangle Br08?

1. When on sale, you will not find another brand/model that can compete. It just rivals everything in this price range.

2. A complete 5.2 tower package(2x 263,2x RS152, RC263,2x SUB R12) can be had for less than $1100.

3. Harmon also covers return shipping if your not satisfied, within 30 days. Again, rivaling everything in this price range.

4. DNA from the Prelude/Beta/Revel series, of its time.

5. Includes a 5yr warranty.

6. Did I say rivals everything in its price range, when on sale?

I got these when they were $250 and thought it was a great deal. These are awesome speakers, need a little room (they get a bit boomy) against a wall, but really shine in the mids. I luv 'em, and for 200 ea, it's a steal.

Thanks all for your advice. I think I'm ready to pull the trigger on these, but my space won't be ready for a few weeks. I see the sale will run through the end of the month.

Any thoughts on whether these can potentially sell out before then? Any past experience? Don't want to order only to store them and not be able to use them until after the 30 day return window.
