Anyone know how it stacks for those who just applied to the flex with the 5% back on first $12k groceries promo?

That would be great, but no way is Chase going to give 10 percent cashback on groceries.

It should work. You can purchase a $5 card for itunes or google play store or amazon (whichever one you can use) day 1 of the promotion. By the 4th of July you will know if gift cards will give you 5% back. Worst case senario you have a card that you, your spouse or kids will use in the next 6 months

No. You will earn a total of 5% cash back even on purchases that may qualify in two or more eligible categories; for example, using digital wallets at a restaurant when both are categories or buying gas at a gas station attached to a grocery store when both gas stations and grocery stores are categories.

I certainly assumed also that there's no way Chase would allow stacking of the 5% quarterly bonus and the early Flex 5% grocery bonus. But in fact you can stack the two (almost). This scenario is different from a vendor being qualified under two categories as in your example. These are two separate programs which Chase has explicitly said will result in a 9% bonus (source: https://creditcards.chase.com/fre...ds/flexfaq

Yes, as long as you are activated for the quarter, you will earn both offers simultaneously until you reach the spend cap for each offer ($1,500 quarterly spend cap applies to combined purchases for both quarterly bonus categories: Grocery Stores and Select Streaming Services); however, please note, since both your new cardmember bonus and quarterly bonus are earned as 4% bonus cash back on top of the 1% cash back earned on every purchase, the most you will earn per $1 in grocery store purchases in Q3 is 9% cash back: 1% earn on every purchase, plus 4% for the quarterly bonus, plus 4% for the new cardmember bonus. Your 1% and 4% bonus earns will display as separate lines on your billing statement.

Remove the extraneous face (frowning?) from the end of the link and then the link works. In other words:
https://creditcards.chase.com/fre...ds/flexfaq

Choose the second (2nd) category on the left, sixth (6th) question from the top.
