Same thought.
Just used mine the other day, and with only 1 wheel it was surprisingly easy. It tries to pull you so, it was a bit awkward at first.

The two downsides for me were:
It's easy to catch the curb and make it hop out.
The blade being square flat bar is also a bit weird compared to my plug in edger which is serrated and shaped.

But otherwise, it was faster than the plug in.

For the people that have this, how long does the battery typically last? And take to charge.

I have a 4 stroke gas weed eater, that can do the attachments to like the edger, trimmer, blower etc..

I see the additional batteries are pricey, so wondered the longevity of battery life as a whole to.

Or are there any electric weed eaters that have the blower attachment to?

I bought this weed eater with hedge trimmer attachment earlier this year. If trimming grass on 1 acre, the 12ah battery is enough. For 2 acres a 12ah and 8ah would be my minimum. With the fast charger it takes about 90 minutes to charge. I am thinking about selling my husqvarna gas weed eater. Haven't used it yet.

I got this a couple months ago. Also have the hedge trimmer attachment. Love it. So much more powerful than I was expecting. Sold off my old gas powered lawn tools.

for the homeowner w/0.3 acres what's the point of spending over $300 for the string trimmer?

This battery with the weed wacker lasts 20-25 mins on low with a full charge. Are others experiencing this?
