The v7 is pretty simplistic compared to the v11, but it still does a really good job for general cleaning. If you have any hard surface floors, you'll absolutely need the fluffy head. The regular spinning head does great on carpet, but is nearly useless on hard floors because it just pushes and flings around things like Cheerios. The battery life has been fine, but there are no frills like an LCD display to tell you how much juice is left and using it on max power is laughably short. Luckily, I find that max power is unnecessary. The dust bin is quite small and I find that a screw hole on the back of the handle digs into my hand after using the vacuum for more than 15-20 minutes which is a poor design.
The v11 is far more powerful, has a much larger dust bin, an auto adjusting suction level, and an LCD to tell you what power level it's operating on and remaining battery life. Charging it is also easier because you can remove and charge just the battery vs plugging into the entire housing on the v7. On the cons side, the hybrid head that comes with the v11 isn't as good at cleaning hard floors as the fluffy head and the v11 is quite heavy since you're operating it one handed.
It's weird to say, but even though they're both from the same produce line, I use them for very different purposes because of their pros and cons. When I'm vacuuming the floors in general, I reach for the v11. When I'm vacuuming the stairs, a car interior, or anything I would handle with my now-dead Dustbuster, I go with the v7. If I had to pick just one, I'd go with the v7 - it's strong enough to use for general purpose, but small enough to operate in tight spaces. The advantages of the v11 are there, but it's hard to justify the much higher cost when it's not quite as versatile for my situations.

The Fluffy head is incredible on hard floors for picking up really large items. It can vacuum up tons of kibble and Froot Loops. Have to switch to the regular Motorhead for carpets though.

After all those years my only complaints were that the dustbin is pretty small and is filled quickly with dog hair in my case and a bit hard to get the hair out in the upper portions of the canister, and the battery life started to suck, maybe 10 minutes of run time, but this is normal for any battery.
What prompted me to upgrade is that the battery is not "user changeable" though I think you can take it apart and do a after market replacement.
So now the V15.
First of all the fluffy head is all the difference for the hard floors, wish I had one sooner.
Second its way more powerful, way quieter, and has way more battery life than the old model.
The canister is bigger, just big enough IMO. You can tell everything about it is improved greatly. However I jumped from the very oldest to the very newest model, and if you asked me honestly is the old one @ $200 compared to the new one at $600 worth the cost?
Technically no, its not 3x the vacuum. For me yes, because I can now quickly vacuum the house and keep it clean, the new attachments and accessories are great, and also the new one supports hot swappable batteries, so as long as that motor and everything lasts I plan to keep the V15 pretty much forever and just buy new batteries as needed.
Back in stock, just ordered one. Went back and it was active again.

While the fluffy roller head "feels" better on a wooden surface, the high torque is so much more versatile as it can quickly adapt to a small shag or rug lying around.
