DK offers some great publications. I have most of their Big Ideas series. Since I bought a few of these during a sale a while ago, now once in a while they will send me an email through Amazon to tell me I can use a special credit off one of my choice of a few books if I'm interested in getting more (which I am). As long as they're on sale for a couple of dollars it's a great deal! I can read these in spare time, and just read a chapter here then come back and read another chapter weeks or months later and I'm not lost at all. The chapters/sections are like their own mini-book, and have great summaries and information on a wide range of interesting things. I highly recommend them. You can also browse the beginning before buying and see the Table of contents for all the things covered in each book. I highly recommend getting some while they're only $2. I enjoy them a lot.

Good sale. I plugged in a few holes in my collection of this series. As far as I can tell there are 27 of them now (cannot be too sure as they keep adding new ones and Amazon series list is not accurate). Unfortunately the newer ones are not on sale. And somehow 'Art' doesn't have a kindle version, just the hardcover.

I have all but 5 of them now.

The Amazon link in the posting lists 28 books in the "Big Ideas" Kindle series, and all but five are on sale for $1.99.
Sadly, the one on Star Trek is one of those not on sale- it's $9.99 (and it isn't that new, it says published June 2016). Darn it.
