This seems "cheap" in cost. Now I definitely feel like prices are coming down because Specs with 16 gigs of ram and 1tb were going for 2800-2900 not long ago.

Hahahahahahahahah.

No.

$430 CPU, $900 GPU, $150 MB, couple hundred in RAM. Probably a solid $2,000-2,200 computer.
Good upper tier build, absurdly inflated pricing.

Too rich for me, but if you are going to overpay for a 3080, at least you get a really solid desktop with it. Not something that you just want to get rid of later. This is a good system for people who actually need a full desktop, not just a card.

It is not surprising this rig is the only one that could survive almost a whole day on costco now. Even those 1850+ cyberpowerpcs has not showing up for days. I still remember the days this costs 2499 which was a decent asking.

This is similar to my opinion on it. 64 GB of RAM is way, way overkill (and that 2 TB mechanical drive is unnecessary) and is probably driving up the cost $500-600 higher than a good 3080 gaming machine needs to be. It's good to see options like this coming in stock, though. Anyone know how the cooling is on these MSI pre-builts?

Where can you get a $2k 3080 pre-built that doesn't skimp out on storage (<1 TB) and RAM? Also, a Cyberpower (that will be thermal throttling out of the box and perhaps crashing, too) from Newegg is not a viable alternative to this.

I've seen worse for around this price point. That said, once you factor in sales tax (nearly $200 for me), it becomes forgettable.

Adequate cooling with a total of 6 fans:

- 3 front facing
- 2 top facing for the AIO
- 1 rear exhaust
- Also the GPU is an MSI 3-fan open-air

FYI, this exact same prebuilt setup was $2,500 6-months ago.

when in stock:
https://www.bestbuy.com/site/asus...Id=6455824

1. if you need more storage you can add it yourself to any build really . I certainly wouldnt pay a company a premium to hook up an ssd to the system
2. As much as i love the SD community, if you need a prebuild i would probably frequent the reddit r/builapcsales thread.
just my thoughts though. good luck hunting for a prebuild that doesnt suck laugh out loud
