You can not order a phone from Visible if your credit card billing address is a PO. Box.

Currently have a Verizon unlimited data plan, but I picked up one of these and I'm gonna test it in a few NETGEAR models (MR1100, LB1120, LM1200). My SIM should arrive tomorrow and I can let you know what I find if you'd like. How do you like your mofi 4500?

I tried this a few months ago with a Netgear LB1120 - I just wanted a 30 day break from Spectrum so I could rejoin as a 'new' customer eligible for their promotions. It did not go well for me. I was able to stand the disconnects and lags for about two hours before I decided that there was no way in heck I was going to be able to put up with 30 days of this. Mind you, I was just browsing the web reading text content (news, etc.) - no videos. I would not recommend doing this though I guess it is better than no internet.

I've been experimenting with an ASUS AC68U router that is connected via USB tethering to a ZTE Blade A3 prime I acquired last year. The internet is reliable where I am (middle of Washington DC) but the speeds are limited to 5mbps. If I really need an extra speed or bandwidth boost, I can swap in a Verizon SIM from my work phone. This has allowed me to discontinue Xfinity for now (kids will be going to a lot of camps and we'll be on travel a good bit of August). Come September, I'll sign back up with Xfinity on a new customer promo.

I tether to my phone all the time with really good results and have considered dropping Comcast entirely. Just be sure to change your TTL to 65.

No trade in promos with Visible. You get GCs after two months service. No prepaid services offer trade in promos that I am aware of for premium phones.

Yes, you can. Use the Visible App on the phone you want to use the eSIM and follow the prompts.

If you're porting in from Tello or Simple Mobile, you probably won't get $100 gift card.
Here is a list of port in eligible carriers:

If you think Visible = Verizon, it is NOT. I switched from Verizon prepaid to Visible expecting a discount. The truth is that while the signal strength is the same, the data speed/latency is not.
Visible is consistently slower in both upload and download speed, and the dealbreaker for me is the ping/latency. Visible, at its best, is around 60ms East Coast USA, but often they go into maintenance mode and the ping goes to 150-200ms about every 2 weeks.

Verizon prepaid is consistently under 20ms and everything on my phone while on cellular is significantly faster than on Visible. Maybe I'm overly sensitive but after about 4 months on Visible I switched back to Verizon (a PITA btw, due to the way the Visible MVNO works) and I couldn't be happier.

If you are lucky to get good ping on Visible, it can be comparable to Verizon. The compromise was not worth the discount to me.
I've been using Visible for a couple months, now - switched from T-Mobile and Mint Mobile - and it seems to be working well. I can access data with Visible in basements where T-Mobile (and Mint - a T-Mob MVNO) couldn't reach. But other than that, I haven't had any trouble with any of them and don't notice any other differences.

My port to Visible (from Mint Mobile) went quickly and smoothly once I requested and got the arcane codes needed from Mint Mobile. But I haven't gotten the $100 rebate yet.

So far, very happy with Visible in the far northwest suburbs of Chicago.

Tried to port in a number to Visible previously and they lost the number in the port. I was upset so I changed my mind and didn't sign up. Anyone have any similar issues or, on the flip side, successes with Visible? Thinking of moving my family from Cricket.

Is Visible any good? How does it compare to AT&T and T-mobile?

When did they exclude Total whiteness and Simple mobile?
You misread. Total wireless is on the list of eligible port-ins .

I've ported many lines and did have a problem with one of them. Essentially the other company wasn't releasing the number properly but visible kind of bailed on forcing them to get their act together.

Long story short for me the service has been excellent but for any situations where you need support it's a little annoying since anything that can't be easily fixed via chat will have a delay of one to do days as they kick it back to tier two support.

How soon do you have to activate the sim? I vaguely remember it being 2 weeks, or is it a month? My 3-month Mint plan expires 7/22...
