I bought the 12k for the master bedroom and was so extremely impressed with how freezing ice cold it would chill the room in a matter of minutes..
It chilled it so nicely that I could tell the whole back of the house was colder when I had it on..
So I went ahead and bought the 24k for the den... Same results.. It not only blows ice cold it cooled the entire den down in just a few minutes..
I quickly realized that just running the 12k in the bedroom and the 24k in the den completely eliminated my need to ever turn on my HVAC again..
It cools the entire house down in minutes on a very hot day.. The HVAC system would run all day to barely maintain the chill in the house on a 90 degree day..
These 2 units are miracle for me.. They run at half the power and only a fraction of the time.. I predict these things will put hvac ducted systems out of business in the near future..
I was able to install both of them myself .. Purchased romex, breaker , and cut off box from amazon , ran the wires to the panel.. I had never done it before but after a few youtube videos and my desire to save a few hundred dollars the install was flawless.. I also purchased a 3 inch hole saw for my cinder block walls..
all that being said.. I dont think you will need the dual zone units if you do what i did.. place a 12k on one end of the house and a 24k on the other you will be amazed.. - oh and this is a very good deal.. i paid 1650 for my 24k from ingrams air and water.

What this means is that if there's a fire, or someone gets hurt, by an installation that was not up to code and/or permitted by your city then your insurance may not protect you. Additionally it may not pass inspection when you sell the house.
Please check with your city about what they require before putting your property and others at risk.
One site has it for 1074. 1500 too high
You'd definitely need two or three men to handle the outside unit if you're mounting it above ground. I did one myself that was on a slab but it was a pain to move and my back regretted it for a week. For the indoor unit you may be able to lift it and guide the hoses yourself but it's waaaaay easier with help.
Also.... be sure your existing electrical is sufficient. For the 24k unit you need a 30A 220V circuit, which needs 10/2. not 12/2.

Meanwhile, if you will notice, the supplied unit wiring is 12 gauge for it's rated 25amp, but unless you want to drive a ground rod or three, depending on the soil, I would use 10/3 w/ground for any distance from the breaker box that drops amperage available to the disconnect box.... that then feeds the factory supplied 12 gauge wiring harness to the unit.
But, you never know until you see it.... people do some crazy siht.
on amazon they all look pretty weak, flimsy metal.
Some have a cross bar, some straight onto the wall. some has support from below, some hanging from above.

Without seeing, knowing the location and list of equipment to be provided and installed, generic estimates are meaningless.... I have seen a countless number of them and nobody should get just one estimate.
That said, sure, you are going to pay more for say, an Amana, Carrier, Trane, Rheem, etc. over these Chinese units that includes the almost identical ComfortStar....that stole/copied the compressor technology from Japan. And sure, you are going to pay more for a licensed professional doing everything to code.
But, if you are happy, that is all that matters. Even a new Hyundai will probably get you from point A to point B for awhile.... and like this unit, happy to send you the parts to repair... in a week or three if that model/part is still being manufactured.
Like I said, something to consider. Maybe not for you, but is for a lot of people that have been convinced anyone can do it ----can do a professional, legal install to local code, that often includes pulling a permit for new and not just a replacement, can do their own repairs while under warranty, etc.

No free shipping to Hawaii...freight shipping was around $400 but was still worth the cost. s Installation was simple since I used the existing wiring and wall hole.
It cools my house just as well as my previous Fujitsu....only draw back is the 25 ft hose which I have rolled and tucked away...but with the $4k I saved I don't mind....I can use the money saved on an OLED.
