That is a question loaded with variables. Anyways I will give my data points as a reference. For me here, 5G is a couple miles away on TMO and not that great. However, on my newer devices with the Standalone 5G Sim Card (VS say another same phone that i just popped in old SIM in instead). . .the phones with SA sims get 100-150mbps, where as the non SA sim phones gets 60-100 normally, all other things equal.

Another quirk is the 5G home internet Gateway I recently got. It seems to be non SA 5G, further evidenced by the primary signal always being set at 4G no matter how you twerk the online settings (other than shutting of 4G altogether, which shuts down communication in the end). And keep in mind I never get better than 'Good" signal on the app (There are higher VG and Excellent ratings). . .but when I am at "Good" it pulls from B2 4G or B66 4G. . .and Gives me 50-100Mbps hardwired. . .and when I twist the gateway slightly to where it gives me "Weak" signal. . .it seems to pull off the N71 5G tower and my speeds jump up to 100-200mbps hardwired. For reference, my 4G towers are just under a mile away due east, and the n71 5G tower is roughly 2 miles away and to the NE, so it's not that hard to try and exclude one or the other. . .

That has been the case, and the trade in value can be used to pay down the A32 so you do not have to pay off the whole A32 balance..... like if your trade in phone gives a $50 immediate trade in credit and the remaining $XXX amount of credit is promotional and is applied over 24 months... you can have that $50 applied towrds the balance owed on the A32 and thus pay less cash towrds the A32 balance. - This is useful if you paid off a lot of phones and have more credits than charges every month.

I miss the days of 2 year contracts because you didn't need to trade a phone in to get these kinds of discounts. Now you still are locked in until you pay the phone off, trade ins not worth $800 if you still owe money on it too.

Why would you want to? You could buy a galaxy s8 for $100-150 and use it for $800 in trade value. I'm sure if you wanted to get rid of your s21 Ultra you would fetch far more than $150 (they're going for $800+ on swappa)

The Wife and I both have NOTE 8. Is this considered a upgrade? Our phones are still practically new condition. Or should we hold out for the note 21. Thanks everyone

Lol, my bad. English can be hard sometimes haha. Yes the Ultra is included, but the trade in credit is capped at $800 so you owe the difference

You might want to look on youtube for a comparison. It's not that straightforward. There's also no guarantee Note 8 trade in is applicable in any future promotions.

I will trade in the Note 8 to get the S21 if I were you. Because when the next phone comes out, no one knows if Note 8 will yield $800. But then I'm sure S21 will have the highest trade in value.

Agreed! Been saying this for years. Bring back two year contracts with free or deeply discounted phones! I don't switch around, I've been with Sprint for over 15 years.
