That is a question loaded with variables. Anyways I will give my data points as a reference. For me here, 5G is a couple miles away on TMO and not that great. However, on my newer devices with the Standalone 5G Sim Card (VS say another same phone that i just popped in old SIM in instead). . .the phones with SA sims get 100-150mbps, where as the non SA sim phones gets 60-100 normally, all other things equal.

Another quirk is the 5G home internet Gateway I recently got. It seems to be non SA 5G, further evidenced by the primary signal always being set at 4G no matter how you twerk the online settings (other than shutting of 4G altogether, which shuts down communication in the end). And keep in mind I never get better than 'Good" signal on the app (There are higher VG and Excellent ratings). . .but when I am at "Good" it pulls from B2 4G or B66 4G. . .and Gives me 50-100Mbps hardwired. . .and when I twist the gateway slightly to where it gives me "Weak" signal. . .it seems to pull off the N71 5G tower and my speeds jump up to 100-200mbps hardwired. For reference, my 4G towers are just under a mile away due east, and the n71 5G tower is roughly 2 miles away and to the NE, so it's not that hard to try and exclude one or the other. . .

If you're planning on sticking with T-Mobile for the next 2 years, this is a great deal. They're giving $800 for Pixel 3s and S8s!

No, the phone can't have any cracks on the screen and must be functional.

So wait.
I trade in my phone for 800
And I get let's say s21

If I cancel my plan. I will have to pay the remaining balance ? So they keep my old phone and I owe the credit difference ?

I was just wondering this; is military one considered non premium then? Still want to trade in my LG G8X

Military plans never seem to be part of these deals
There is a Magenta Military and Magenta Military Max. Looks like Magenta Military will qualify for the non premium plans.

From the Reddit thread mentioned above:

Just received confirmation from T-Force that Magenta Max Military does qualify:
"The good news is that your rate plan, the Magenta Max Military plan does qualify for that promo. I double checked it for you and made sure you were covered!"
Following up with T-force they state you may not see the offer online but you are definitely eligible (so I assume call, chat or go in store):
"It may not show online but you definitely qualify for that offer. You are on premium plan and I assure you, you are good to go. I would have each person reach out to confirm with us on their account so we can be sure on that. However, I have definitely confirmed you're good to go!"

They give you trade-in credit after receiving the trade in phone. If you get 500 or 800 as credit, that is yours to keep. It is applied as one time credit. Need to pay the remaining balance.

Your phone is not worth 800. It's worth an agreed upon value when you do your trade in. The rest of it is a promotional value which is credited to your account each month spread over 24 months. You owe $ for the new phone each month spread over 24 months. If you cancel your plan, your promotional value is voided, but you have to pay off the remaining owed balance. I hope that clears up how this promo works.

Yes. Let's say you trade in Galaxy S8. You will get roughly $65 in instant credit (fair market value for your trade), and then the remaining $735 as promo credit spread out over 24 months. Every month you stay that $735 you would owe if you cancelled gets knocked down by another $30 and change

Fun fact: you can buy a Pixel 3 from Amazon for less than $200 with one day shipping.

I would like to know this too. But maybe I am just getting old, but I don't like all these hoops, and bill credits, and such. Just knock the $500 or $800 off and let me pay the rest on the spot.
That doesn't make you OLD, it proves your smart.

Quote from Hat-Trick :
Maybe TM should just hang out on street corners and in malls and hand out free flagship phones to anyone who wants one? The business model behind bill credits is to keep you as a customer (that pays for the phone). Why would any business give away free items without something on the back-end to make that money back?
You do realize that is exactly what they used to do, gave you a free flagship phone, and all you had to do was sign up for 2 years, don't you? They literally were on street corners and all over malls handing out free phones to people, and all you had to do was sign a contract for 2 years.

That is until some entitled jackasses decided to sue the phone companies because they thought that with that free phone, they should be able to get it unlocked, go to another carrier and not stick around for 2 years.
