Last year I saw a guy purchase a whole flatbed cart of these. Probably around 80-100 drives

Wonder what his deal was and how much he was profiting. lol

Looks like in-store only deal. Going to get gas after work at Costco, gonna pop in and see if my can grab a couple. It's still cheaper than getting a NAS.

Likely mining Chia, a relatively new storage-based cryptocurrency. Hard drive prices are through the roof due to demand but coming down as latecomers aren't getting to profitability.
