4.0ah at 18v is same run time (technically energy) as 6.0ah at 12v.
So really does come down to other things like form factor or if you want to invest in a particular battery platform.
50cfm vs. 33cfm
Dewalt doesn't list suction but same size hose.

I wonder how the M12 vacuum performs with the 6AH battery.

EDIT
Went ahead and pulled the trigger on the pin nailer [homedepot.com]. Had an HD coupon for 10% off orders of $299 or more, so after adding it to my cart and applying the coupon I'm getting another $35 off the total. If you have the HD credit card, you should have received the same 10% offer via email or snail mail.

may sell the battery for a better deal
Its a nifty little vac, fits in the low profile tool box on my truck with my other every day tools.
For small jobs its perfect. I hung a bunch of anchors and pictures for my mom and some other small things and this was excellent in the clean up after words.

My concern is 3min run time per AH? Love my Milwaukee 12V tools but mostly have 1.5 AH batteries. That would mean if I used up all 4 I may get 18 minute run time? OUCH!
I have plenty of Dewalt 20V batteries 3/4/5 and even some flexvolts. But again, their vacuums suck.
The Milwaukee 18V gets great reviews, but 2 battery types are enough for me, (Dewalt 20V and Milwaukee 12V)
