This better than the Wyze cam v3? Besides the resolution obviously.
WyzeV3 is weather proof and can be mounted outdoor. It also has an awesome low light camera sensor. Eufy is indoor only and has Apple HomeKit support. So go with Wyze if you need to mount outdoor and Eufy for HomeKit.

NO WAY I am touching this a 1000 foot pole. That kind of breach is unforgivable, holy cow.
This kind of vulnerability is the risk you take with any cloud based security system.

The Eufy 2K Cam is hands down better than the Wyze Cam v3. While the low light camera on the Wyze V3 Cam is good, the Eufy 2k Cam has a much better video with 2K. There are also over two dozen features built into the Eufy 2K Cam that are not available with the Wyze v3 Cam. The biggest is the Wyze V3 Cam requires you to get their 'Cam Plus' ($1.99 monthly fee) if you want person detection. Also without Cam Plus, recorded alerts are limited to 12 second clips once every 5 minutes. The eufy 2K Cams have person/animal/crying detection built into the cams with instant detection and no five minute cool down timer.

Other features in the Eufy 2K Cams above and beyond the Wyze v3 Cams include:
  • Instant Detection of events
  • Geofencing
  • An App that works on Chromebooks
  • A Web Interface
  • Person & Motion Markers in Continuous Recordings to sdcard
  • Up to 16x fast forward in Continuous Recordings to sdcard
  • NAS Support
  • Sdcard support > 32gb
  • Ability to Change Wifi settings without a reset
  • Many More...
At one time I had (7) Wyze cams but I sold them and now have eufy 2K Cams installed as replacements. In addition to the lack of the features listed above, I daily got 'Error 06 - Failed to fetch video from the cloud' errors when trying to view alert videos from the cloud with my Cam Plus licenses and Cam Plus person detection alerts took up to 15 minutes after an event before I was alerted.

I installed Android 12 Beta 2 on my cell phone today and the Eufy Security app failed to load. It turned out to be a known app bug with the Android 12 beta. Before I discovered that it was an Android bug that even affected Gmail, I called Eufy Support. Got a live person in less than a minute. They had some suggestions that I tried and they even called me back a couple of hours later to check on my progress. Thanks Alexandra and Kevin @ Eufy!

I'm starting to build a Homekit smart home since I'm in the Apple ecosystem and have been waiting for a good deal on a camera that works with Homekit.

wyze is rendered useless without paying them subscription fee for life. and even with the subscription payment it has many issues that wyze is not fixing.

Love this cam and their doorbell. I hate paying subscription fees so it's been the perfect solution for me. I don't point my camera anywhere sensitive indoors, only on my exterior entrances so there's no issue with privacy for me. I also have them connected via my guest network so if someone does gain access to my network through the camera they're segregated from my main network. Video quality is great, and alerts work perfectly. There's an issue where after you setup your cam, if you don't get push notifications for motion, then you just have to delete the cam and add it again and it'll work.

I purchased one earlier today, used the code as well as $4 coupon off. All went well.

I need to buy another one for my dad, the EUFY1080 code is no longer working for the 2nd purchase. Is the code only good for one account per purchase?

can anyone please confirm/provide feedback? I'd like to buy at least two more and would like to be able to get all the available discounts. TIA !!

For those looking to mount this outside, you can use these camera housings: Outdoor cover $12.99 [amazon.com].

You will have to make two slight mods, but anyone with a dremel or sharp knife can do it. You have to dremel out the 4 ridges behind the face plate screw holes so the Eufy camera fits all the way inside, and then cut an inch or so hole expansion to the right of the rear cable hole to accommodate the Eufy cable. Lay a bead of silicone around the front for extra protection. Takes about 5 minutes and you will have a nice weather protective cover for the Eufy indoor cam.

For those wondering. I used this out doors on top of my garage for about a year and still working. I live in socal and it rained pretty hard back in January and this thing still works. Fingers crossed it will work for another 5 years or more outside.
Haha I was thinking about that, I'm in San Diego and I have an overhang I was thinking of mounting a camera onto, so it wouldn't be right in the weather anyway. Thanks!

Yeah you can only buy 1 at the discount price each time. So just have to wait for them to keep coming up every month or whenever.
