If you're just starting out, you would need a water heater, and a water test kit as well.

Just use ordinary (screw in) LED bulbs! This looks like a much better kit than the TopFin one with the crappy mini led strip with like 4 LEDs only in it.

I want to get a few koi, a few oscars, and some algae eaters. Will this be good?
No. You need 100g tank for oscars. They can grow big

Amazing 🤣
He's probably talking about salt water. You can't just get it from the ocean, too much pollution.

Pretty good startup if you need a tank this size. In my experience smaller tanks require more maintenance (I had to do my 10 gallon weekly, and I could do the 30 and 50 every 2-3 weeks. but maybe that's just me).

Replace those bulbs with led or cfl as someone mentioned earlier and you got a sweet comfortable setup for 1-5 fish for either a small space or a child startup.

And patience if water isn't right fish will die. If you know someone with an existing tank may be wise to get some water and gravel from their tank if possible as starting a new tank can be tough.

What size would fit? Regular LED bulbs are too fat, right?

No air pump. But the filter that comes with it is good enough for circulation

Gravel or other hardscape has the bacteria you need, but it's not really in the water. So yes, read up on the nitrogen cycle when starting a tank.

Also, as others have said, a 10 gallon tank can be tricky to maintain. A 20 gallon tank is a good starter tank. But a 10 gallon is great as a quarantine and treatment tank. Or a shrimp tank.

These 'kits' often contain stuff you don't need, or sub-par equipment that you need to upgrade.
