I have a 73" and attaching this to the TV (per the instructions) for this size doesn't work. You can tell in the calibration steps when you adjust the "dots" that it can't see the edges of the TV. So I moved it away from the TV and the camera now sits on my center channel speaker looking back up and it can see the entire screen now. The color response got better though it seems a little delayed in matching what's on the screen. I need to play around with it some more and then make a more permanent mount for the current placement.
Same as long term impacts from watching tv I imagine..
Just Type in what he wrote,……… it's incredibly easy to find and not rocket science.

I have it on my 80-inch, and I think it still looks great. Would definitely recommend

I have an 82" that is wall mounted. Curious if your TV is wall mounted or not. I just don't know how good the lights will look so close to my wall. Any input?

The strips are a few inches from the edge of the TV but are plenty bright to still have a great effect

Got it! Thanks and repped...

I've also got mine wall mounted. But it's in a media cabinet of sorts, so I have it on an adjustable mount that is pulled a few inches away from the wall for maximum effect. If you are using a low profile mount, I unfortunately don't think it would look as good

I have basic lights now that plug into a USB port on the TV and they turn on and off automatically with the TV. It looks like this only has a timer or manual on/off? Any way to get this to automatically turn on/off with the TV?
Unfortunately the app is pretty limited so I dont think there is a super simple way to automate it. I use Home Assistant (an awesome open source smart home system) and I have IR control of my TV + surround sound system and WiFi control of this all integrated. One button turns on all 3 and another turns off all 3.

How is the lag? The video reviews on Amazon make it look pretty noticeable. How is it person?
Its there, more noticeable during scenes that have a lot of rapid cuts with very different color profiles. But overall the lag is minimal and for the price point / convenience still totally worth it

Dead. Damn. I spent too much time reading comments instead of pulling the trigger!

Just got this. I missed the deal too, but it was in my saved items and let me "move to cart".

It's not expected to arrive until mid July though, but I don't mind at the price.

Good luck.

Bought these. Ran the calibration multiple times. Placed camera on top and bottom of 65" TV. These don't work worth a $hit. Even at $49, it's a waste other than general backlighting, which can be had for cheaper. Doesn't pick up the colors correctly.

Received mine today, easy setup. Used calibration video on yt instead of orange blocks. Mounted camera below on entertainment center about 6 inches from tv. Works great. Set to movie mode, part, brightness 22%& saturation 0%.
Saw yt vid recommending nd camera filter for more accurate colors. Still testing settings, so far pleased. Good ambient light test vids on yt.

Got this yesterday. Installed with camera on the bottom. Calibration needed no adjustment out of the box it detected the orange squares perfectly. But the colors are way off, especially noticeable in movies. I tried it with edge of tomorrow and scenes that were clearly blue hued were projecting bright orange light.

Any ideas on getting colors to match right?

Orange light happens because of LCD image fading when viewed at a very sharp angle. That adds some orange tint to portions of the screen that the camera picks up. You may try to move the camera forward to increase its TV screen viewing angle, that should help somewhat. Or upgrade to an OLED TV
