I plan on purchasing the 43" to display my landscape photography (it's a hobby).

How is the frame with uploading and displaying personal photographs?
It's pretty good if you use the exact resolution supported. Otherwise it has issues putting on the digital frame. Fwiw I love my 65" Frame and we use it exclusively (other than watching tv) for family photos. We even put seasonal photos on it during certain times if the year.

This is a good deal for this tv. I've been tracking deals on the frame for about a year to buy another. Other than maybe employee pricing, which I don't qualify for (search if you want to find these threads), this is equal to or the best deal I've seen.

The timing of this is great as I had just placed a Costco corder for the 65" Frame last night (just cancelled it). The costco comes with a 2 year subscription to the artwork and an additional 3 years on top of their 2 year warranty for $2000 before taxes. But I believe the art subscription is only $6/month

My question is that what if my wife doesn't want the brown frame that comes with the 65" through this buydig deal. are we stuck with it? can other frames be purchased?

Thanks for the info. How does the frame handle displaying photos that are in portrait orientation instead of landscape? Does it just add a matte around it as blank space?

If you have two Samsung Frame TVs, can you share the subscription to the artwork between them? Or do you have to pay for two substitutions?

You currently can't see my to share the art between more than one frame on a single account. Its a bummer. If you could share between all of them that would be great. You can however load pretty much anything you want on it for free via the SmartThings apps

Does anyone happen to know if the 2021 Model Frame is compatible with a Perlesmith Universal TV Stand? Any help would be a godsend.

The next option for portrait is a matte with 3 photos side by side by side. It looks nice.

We recently bought the 2021 65" Frame from Costco for our new house and have a quick review:

1. This was not my first choice as the picture quality isn't spectacular, but it was purchased for the previously mentioned wife approval factor. It sits (high) above our fireplace and when our new neighbor came over the other day, she commented on how we also decided to not put a TV above the fireplace and instead hung a picture. Success!

2. I had our builder run a smurf tube (I think 1.5" diameter) into the basement where I have a 42U network rack. I had to remove the plastic shroud on the connector jacket to fish through the tube to the separate Samsung One Connect box, but it fit. I had to also position the box on the 2nd highest rack space (it takes up a little more than 1RU if you want to use this approach). All my other components are in the rack, so there are no wires visible anywhere on the mantle or around the fireplace.

3. The mount…has issues. It is workable and not as challenging as the TV reviews on Samsung's site suggest, but the major issue I had is that each mount is <16" wide so wouldn't be connected to 2 studs. Since I didn't have my builder put a bunch of blocking behind the drywall, I had to add a couple pieces of plywood to give me something to secure the mount to with the plywood secured to the studs with lag screws. As such, my TV sits off the wall an extra 3/4" more than it should, but it is still very tight to the wall.

4. The picture quality is pretty good but not great — far from an OLED like the LG GX.

5. The Art mode is convenient and fun to pick different art out with the kids. Different lighting conditions do present challenges and breaks the simulated experience of it just being art, but sometimes it is really convincing. Looking forward to picking art specifically for guests when they come over. (Costco includes a credit for 20 months or so to the art store.)

6. The ads in the interface are annoying.

7. The Airplay and WiDi features have been very easy to use and equally convenient. (We are still furnishing the house so have been sharing screens from a laptop or phone while we shop for items)

8. The sound is surprisingly serviceable. Don't get me wrong, it's not going to stand in for even a soundbar with a sub, but it's good enough for family movie nights, morning news, and casually watching shows.

9. I've only played a few games of Mario Kart against my kids on it and it has a game mode, but it's not anything I've really noticed a benefit with. Mostly I find the game mode annoying that they have to make the interface so garish because "GaM3rZ" or some stupid reason.

10. The app selection seems pretty limited to your basic streaming apps. We've set up Hulu, Disney+, AppleTV, and have used the browser to watch OTA news via HDHomeRun on the network.

11. I don't care for the remote, but I'm not sure why. Coming from a Harmony with touchscreen (900? Elite?), the remote seems really limited or the layout is just not terribly friendly.

FWIW, we are coming from a 55" 1080p Vizio P-Series and had a Samsung sound bar with wireless sub/surround (again for wife acceptance) that has been relegated to the basement. Looking forward to doing the home theater over the next year or so to meet my nerd acceptance factor!

You def can buy a new bezel and switch it out. They are pretty expensive though. I think the 65 inch frames cost 200 bucks.

This looks good if you keep the tv flat. But I think most people tilt it down a bit? Then the frame would look out of place.

Just purchased the 2021 model a couple weeks ago. Wish I would have waited because this is a good deal.

A couple of thoughts on the purchase and install:

1) The one connect wire is not in wall rated. So you can either encapsulate in tubing or buy the $300 in wall rated wire. I am unable to find 1 1/2 smurf tubing locally so I am using 1" fire rated split loom into a couple of one gang boxes. Each box will need a 1" x 1/2" rectangular slot cut to feed the connector through.

2) The out of box picture is not great, but that is not really why you buy this. I found the suggested pictures settings rtings to be beneficial.

3) Ours came shipped with an old firmware that was very picky about DNS wifi settings to connect to Samsung servers. You must accept the terms and conditions through the TV before any features (art mode, apps, etc) become available. We had to manually perform a smart hub reset in settings, connect to phone Hotspot, manually force DNS to google (8.8.8.8) in order to talk to Samsung servers. After firmware upgrade, we set everything to home wifi without issue.

4) The mounting is not hard, but not exactly easy I would say if you are wanting get within 1/2" of a desired location. The included template requires you to tape two pieces of paper together. When you do, the tape intersection does represent mid-point of TV. The TV brackets on ours did not fully engage the wall brackets to sit perfectly flush. I had to use a screw driver to open up the c at the bottom of the wall brackets to get TV brackets to fully seat. I also used toggle bolts to get TV as flush as possible to drywall.

Do not waste your time reaching out to Samsung for support. I wasted 4 hours trying to get help with my issues. They will offer only two solutions, return the TV for a replacement or pay to have a Samsung installer come out and put the TV up.

I'll save Samsung the R&D costs for the 2022 model:
* Include single sheets of paper for mounting template
* Ship wall and TV brackets connected together in box so C on wall mount does not crush during shipment.
* Preload TAC on TV before shipping
* Space wall mount holes to hit 16" on center studs
* Add a connecter between fiber and endpoint connectors so you easily fish through inwall tubing.
