I got the Alpha S when it was on sale and had the same mic problem. I eventually took off the foam cover when I got food on it Roll Eyes (Sarcastic) and discovered that the directional mic was pointed down. When I pointed it at my mouth, it got much louder. Might want to see if that is your problem.

I got one before and the mic was really quiet even when fully boosted. They send me a new one, then got rid of it and went to logitech. The headset is great but the mic sucked for me.

I have used the cloud I and cloud II's for years. Recently bought the alpha s and it sounded SO BAD. My buddy got a pair too at the same time and we tested all 4 headsets at once. The sound card that comes with the alpha S makes it sound horrible. If you plug the headphones directly into an aux or the cloud II sound card it sounds good. I figured something had to be wrong so I even chatted with their support and they said that's just how the new new sound card sounds. Returned the alpha S and bought another Cloud II.

I've had this headset for about 13 months. I use it to teach remotely (8 hours) and play PS4. Great headset!
