Yes, the smaller unit means worse sound… but as an owner of both OG and the Mini, I can tell you that the mini is still very good quality for its size. Every other ability is identical.

I have 7 minis across the house/garage/barn. Last weekend I synced all 7 plus two Apple TV's at once (one of the Apple TV's having music played on two different channels through a stereo) so I effectively had a total of 10 different outputs playing Apple Music. I was home alone moving about the house working on various projects and doing some cleaning. It worked flawlessly and was awesome having immersive sound no matter where I went.

Necessary? No. But was fun and would have been great for a party.

If that Siri chick only worked better with Spotify with verbal commands. Sadwalk

Not sure if it'd be worth the extra $5 for the Costco return policy or not. But I'm definitely considering this. I'll probably call the B&M store near me in an hour to see if it's available to pickup (although shipping is indeed free.)

$5? I'm seeing $15. Did I miss a deal there?

Thanks! Got two (more), was considering the Costco two-pack all week. Oh, btw for anyone wondering, I quickly tried thrice and Best Buy denied price match — typical! Guess SimplyMac gets our coin!

At the moment it's $15, but starting the 23rd Costco will reduce the price to $85 instead of it's current price $95.

It might work now. Siri is able to choose YouTube music as my default player now on my iPhone. I don't have a HomePod yet so can't test it though.

I think you can buy now and go back for a price adjustment within 30 days.

You definitely can. Me personally I'd rather wait a few more days to avoid the costco crowds.
