If you actually get something of value from doing it how is it a scheme or BS?
you calculate the PROFIT at the time of the conversion by subtracting the basis cost from the current value. Then pay income tax (presuming you held the asset for less than 365 days) on the profit only - weighed against any losses from the same tax year.
Its NOT like take $100 US to Japan, get $100 worth of yen, boom owe IRS $30. Convert your $70 of yen back to USD, boom, owe IRS another $21... definitely not how it works.
You'd owe them $0 unless the value of USD dropped (or yen skyrocketed) and you got more back than you gave. Same principle with crypto.

Coinbase Pro
I've had coinbase for about 10 years I get them immediately. Some people I know that have had accounts for 2ish years get them a little later than me . I think they do it based on the accounts age/purchasing power(your daily limits for purchase and withdrawal)

It seems like the holds to transfer crypto are significantly longer though but I've almost always used coinbase not pro to purchase and transfer to pro for free withdrawl . On my coinbase everything instantly gets approved for me since I have maxed my limits but on pro there was a 2-3 day holding period before I could trade the crypto I purchased

Not to mention most rewards take 30 seconds to get 3-12$ that you immediately get to either convert or sell . Most of the answers are easy without even watching the videos if you have previous crypto knowledge
