We also use it to make fresh jams from frozen berries or fruit that is about to turn.
A decent price, though bought mine from a SD in Oct, 2019 @ $219.95 w/ no tax from FocusCamera.com of all places.
They have lots of recipes on the site though almost any found online can be converted and the recipe book that comes with it is almost Marth Stewart quality.
Here's my recipe for my "ultra loaf" which produces basically the largest loaf the 1lb machine can make:
230g water
320g bread flour
10-14g butter
5g powdered milk
6g salt
8g sugar
3.5g yeast
Bake on program "2".
BTW, $255.98 is a good price right now, especially considering they were OOS on Amazon for much of 2020.

PS: if doing ingredients by weight feels weird, Zojirushi has a mail in offer for a free (inexpensive) scale -- works great.
If you thing Costco's bread is good enough, you can't save money from making bread by yourself considering the time and tool you invest.
On the other hand, if you want to get a very fresh bread, then this one saves you a lot. In fact, I think bread, just like coffee, is only good in the first 30min after cooking finishes.

But it's directly from Amazon, so I wouldn't worry about it much, if you're concerned, just look it over
