That's the opposite of my experience. All my 3rd party cables eventually break (won't charge, won't recognize, etc) but the Apple ones never really broke unless they're bent too much and the rubber breaks down. I've never bought Apple cables from Amazon though so it could be like the above comments said, that you got counterfeits
It's all how you handle the cables, I still have my original cable from 6 years ago and works and looks good. My mom on the other hand shreds
No, check that it is not counterfit when you receive it.

Amazzon co-mingles product, so a counterfit seller's items get mixed in with real and seller does not matter.

Hopefully Amazon selling them cheap isn't a sign that Apple is about to upgrade/change the watch charger on the next model.

My iPad 7th gen charging cable recently stopped detecting after daily use of a couple years. Ended up buying a generic 10 foot cable which has reinforced rubber tips. Way better

i'll agree with you on this. every original charger that came with my apple products started fraying and splitting at the ends after a short period of time.

after a few years of it happening, you'd think apple would have fixed it by now but i guess they like making money on selling extra chargers
