Speed difference only shows up after the drive gets about 70-80% full or when you write that much data and then have to write more. Once you hit this limit - everything seems like it scratches to a haunt. Only use these drives if you are not writing a lot or using them as backup drives. Otherwise they are good.

Red drives are completely different. Made to run 24/7. You won't find a red drive for $15/tb

there's also the fact that there are production issues which are kicking prices up, unfortunately.
not sure when that'll be over.
Been waiting for 6 months and the prices have been pretty stagnant unfortuantely

True but thanks to chia mining, red drives and wd external drives have skyrocketed in price. I would kill for $200 12tb externals right now to fill my nas
