You need to install electrical wiring, basically. Electrician and all that stuff. Of course, you can do it on your own but considering you are asking this question, probably not something you can do yourself. If you have an outlet, you could also power it through that if it's close enough... try to hide the wires, I guess. Probably best to get a wireless one under your scenario, though.

Pretty easy to install watching online videos. Make sure you turn off the main to be extra careful. However, given doorbell has low voltage you can do it without turning main off, but please err on the side of caution when it comes to electrical stuff.

I don't have an outside plug or any kind of doorbell wiring outside my apartment. My solution was to buy this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B08C9NFVS1/
and this: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0007WTF02/

The problem with the AC adapter is that there's no room for the wiring to fit when the device is attached to the door frame, because the Ring sits flush with whatever it's attached to. I used my dremel to cut out and size the ABS plastic to the backplate of the Ring Wired, then cut out a slot for the wire to stick out. The plastic sheet is the same size as the wire, about 1/8th", so it fits perfect. Then it's just a matter of adding a couple holes in the plastic to match the Ring, and then install to the door frame following the instructions. It matches the coloring of the Ring Wired pretty closely, holds strong, and you can't tell any work has been done to it from a glance.

I installed this model about 4 months ago. I find the video quality to be excellent and I have had no problems with it either.

This is not a better deal. You might as well grab the 3rd gen for "free" with the ring, and buy the 4th gen speaker for $25 as part of prime day. You'll end up with two speakers for the same price.
That's why it comes with an Echo, which you can use to chime.
Got this for my mother in law. Great deal but just a warning you will need to use a chime or alexa to get an audible door bell ring. Even though it's wired you can't use your existing chime. The door bell ring doesn't work on the tap either.

How hard is it to install if I do not have a door bell? Or am I better off getting wireless one?

It works just fine with my existing door bell chime. You just have to make sure to wire it up properly.
