Works with 20% off trade in plus $25 trade in credit. This gonna cost $50 plus tax with your old fire tablet. Not bad. I'm upgrading from a hd 8 with 2gb of ram. This has 4gb of ram plus wireless charging.

Make sure to use the toolbox and install Vanced afterward then you are all good to go from there.

For those who have a specialty ubreakifix nearby. You could go drop it off for immediate trade in credit and 20% off coupon. That's what I did earlier today because I didn't want to pack and ship it in.

If you do a trade in (by mail), the 20% off is applied to a future kindle device purchase only. You must trade it into a store for 20% to apply to this order, if you mail the trade in, there is no retroactive 20% off.

Yes. Look on YouTube. Many posters. ETA Prime is one that comes to mind.

You need a PC for this method...

But the EASIEST and best way is to download XDA AMAZON TOOL BOX

Know that you have to jump through hoops to get YouTube on it because Google and Amazon had a fight a while back. Internet, Amazon Prime, Netflix, etc should be fine. Side loading Google play isn't hard, it's just an extra hurdle.

Pretty much exactly what it was made for. Good reviews on Youtube. If you don't care about wireless charging or will have many tabs open at one time, you may consider the non plus model for $79. Main two differences are 1 less gig of RAM and no wireless charging on cheaper model. https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08BX7FV5L/ref=fcatpage_shoveler_3?tag=slickdeals&ascsubtag=8989ad28d21611ebbc9ae281b58694f90INT&pf_rd_r=BGX71P4E26D0D5NHTMK9&pf_rd_p=20949115-fa82-475c-bd3f-2026ee744f0f&pf_rd_m=ATVPDKIKX0DER&pf_rd_s=merchandised-search-1&pf_rd_t=&pf_rd_i=6669703011&ref=fcatpage_desktop_f10&th=1

20% off for trade in only works if you drop it off at an amazon store or UbreakIfix store (limited locations accepting trades).
If you have to mail the device in, you get 20% off a future kindle device purchase and the amazon cs reps will not apply the 20% off as a courtesy or retroactively

Chatted with rep and they said they will give me the 20% off retroactively once I receive the item. Oddly they don’t want me to wait until Amazon receive the trade in. Just until I receive the new tablet. I guess I will give it a try and can always return if they don’t give me the credit.

you should be able to as its based on the account, not the device. I have an old HD7 that i use for my youngest and it runs kids interface when on his account.

Non-plus version is $80 now without having to order via Alexa. Plus version adds wireless charging and 1GB of ram (total is 4GB vs 3GB).
For those trading in, how are you getting credit right away? If Amazon doesn't give you trade in credit until the device is received and appraised, then won't you miss the deal?
I bought the 64GB fire 10 plus model but denied the trade in. I have the previous generation and it is in super good condition. I would rather give it away to my nephew than getting 36 bucks for it from Amazon.

My wife has bunch of cr4p in the cart already for that $10. So I went a head and order this to avoid shipping traffic

Whatever works. I was trying to avoid the exact scenario, hence why I went to ubreakifix just in case they don't want my sort of new hd 8 that has been using as baby monitor. I could just take it right back there and then. It went smoothly got the 20% off coupon plus $25 trade in credit.

The 8 plus for $65 is not nearly as good , right. as far as internals? I actually prefer the 8" size

Ended up buying the 10 because I know the response is going to be that it has better hardware

Got 10% from that getbacktobus promo (I think its cuz I have a seller acct)
Also used $10 Discover promo

Items: $179.99
Shipping & handling: $0.00
10% off your order: -$10.56
Discover $10 off: -$10.00
Lightning Deal: -$70.00
Total before tax: $89.43

I still have the 8 plus after trading in the regular 8. The 8 plus has 3gb of ram vs 4gb on this. I believe the 10 plus has slightly faster processor as well. Both 8 plus and 10 plus have the wireless charging capability

How do you get to ~$50 with the trade-in? Is the $25 trade-in credit already counted in the -$36 above? So you're figuring another ~$22 off from the 20% off?

Has anyone successfully installed google. com and YouTube. com on this new tablet? I read somewhere it can't be done to this new model.

This is a pretty good deal. If you add the productivity keyboard for $50, the total is less than than the productivity bundle. I like that the keyboard doesn't use a kickstand so you can actually use it on your lap unlike Samsung S7.

~$11 ? $25 trade in value

I went with the 10 though the 8 probably would have been good enough and better in size, having a little buyers remorse but not sure the actual terms of the Discover promo and the 10% not showing in cart so may not be worth it to cancel

$25 is not counted as part of $36.

It was deposit to my account directly

$36 is 20% off the regular price of 179.99. not 109.99.
