A true Surface pro killer with all the modern specs to support it's price, instant cop if you are looking for a laptop for college and the only thing that make me hesitant to buy this is the QC as this is the first time a company like Minisforum is making a device like this but given their reputation with mini PCs I wouldn't be too worried.

Af this price point, the Lenovos and Apples seem more appealing. I'd hate to get stuck with a warranty from Minisforum especially on a $1000+ computer.

Yeah this needs to be like $600 until proven warranty / long term issues

Saw that it's a struggle to deal with the company, i would wait until they sell them on amazon to avoid having to deal with them if any issue

This or wait for the SnapDragon Elite X?
I wonder if those laptops will be insanely expensive? These processors feel like direct competitors.

Any chance this will run Linux?

Snapdragon X Elite laptops will be expensive, with undercooked handling of x86 programs and Linux, and is being compared to this processor or prev-gen 7840U when in reality it will be competing against AMD Strix Point. Just ignore Snapdragon.

No one knows yet.

My theory is Snapdragon Laptops will drive the rest of the market down.

Then will be a good time to buy, I personally have no need to buy a new laptop until later this year ( and that just assumes I don't just use my MacBook Air with it's small SSD)

Well known Chinese mini PC brand that is now debuting this hyped tablet, one of the first AMD Hawk Point devices announced IIRC. They are generally considered a step above other Chinese garbage brands like "AceMagician", but you may still have problems with shipping, returns, drivers, quality, etc.

Lenovo did not honor a warranty for my computer so I wouldn't say it's better.

Can confirm, I own multiple AceMagic and Minisforum machines and Minisforum is far and above in terms of build quality, stability and function.
Not sure on returns/RMA though, never had to.

I believe this item has a two-year warranty, but has a seven day return period unless it's defective or broken. Keep this in mind when ordering.
